Daily Lives of Highschool Boys (Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou.) - This is the anime I can relate to. I act literally exactly like these wonderful boys. Hilarious, easy to relate to, and very interesting.

Nichijou - This show made me very happy whilst depressed. It is very humorous and my go-to for things you can constantly laugh at and never get tired of.

FLCL - This has shaped my life in so many ways. As an experiment anime, it is bound to not make sense at first, but I suggest it for any and everyone. I hate watched it several times.

Bakemonogatari - There's just something about this one that touched my heart. I love my siblings even though we aren't fully related, and this is relative to the story.

Rurouni Kenshin - A show I watched as a little girl. Kept me happy throughout the days I was in bed stricken with illness. Every now and then I wish I could still watch it.

ToraDora - Made me cry. Precious anime. Really.

Anohana - FOUND YOU!! This is the saddest anime I've seen of the bunch.

Yosuga No Sora - I'm sorry but I love incest romance.

Soul Eater - This show was one of the animes that helped me improve in drawing, character design, and got me frankly interested in gore. I am now a frequent gore artist who people enjoy receiving art from because of it. I love all the characters, and I love all the designs and the concept was amazing.

My guilty Pleasure is Naruto.

This is in no particular order.

1. FMA brotherhood.
Got me into anime. Simply awesome, has a special place in my heart
2.Angel beats!
Laughed a lot watching this, and cried even more. Even though there's a lot of cons, the experience was invaluable.
3. Code Geass
I think the reason i liked this so much was that for the first time in anime, i couldn't predict what will happen next.
4. AnoHana
So much feels, and so beautiful.
5. Sword art online
There's a ******* of cons in this. But damn, i still enjoyed this so damn much.
6.Clannad+after story
I think after story was actually a lot better.
7.Shingeki no kyojin
I love despair. I get chills when i watch Snk and it's awesome. And i know it's bad to
judge the whole series when it's still ongoing, but this is my impression so far.
8.Soul eater
They seriously ****** up the ending, but the first 47 episodes were really, really good.

I greatly enjoy this post.

I'll just go with my top 9.

1. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - I love the characters and the stories it tells. I like how it doesn't insult my intelligence and even leaves me confused as to what's going on without being 2deep4u. I like the political elements and how there are so many needless details thrown into everything which gives the story more credibility.
2. Gankutsuou - Brilliant storytelling with great pacing and use of characters. Every single relationship is twisted and turned and used to great effect to promote the drama, the the Count is a fantastic character.
3. Wolf's Rain - Because I like the fantasy world where absolutely nothing is explained, neither about the story or the characters. This is great because it forces you to make your own conclusions and it allows you to be immersed in the story without much exposition.
4. Monster - The best anime of all time, what's there to say? Killer story and killer pacing and killer use of characters. There are just anime I have a more personal relationship with.
5. Berserk - Again, great pacing and its use of themes is one of the best I've seen. It really drives the story forward and knowing everything happens for a reason is really fun to watch. I have a retarded smole on every time I turn it on.
6. Welcome to the NHK - My life, also one of the most hilarious and relevant and depressing anime I've seen.
7. Baccano - Fun things are fun.
8. Mushishi - Amazing setting and ability to tell 26 distinct and great stories.
9. Fate/Zero - Ufotable + Urobuchi + Kajiura

Sorry, my reasons got a little long, so I put them at the end for those who don't want to read them.
1. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (2009 version, mainly first 11 episodes and movie)
2. Steins;Gate
3. Code Geass
4. Is This a Zombie?
5. Baccano!
6. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
7. Death Note
8. Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple
9. Soul Eater
10. Rosario+Vampire

I fell like there are a couple that I'm forgetting that I loved, but this is what comes to mind. It's hard to come up with an order, because some of them I watched a long time ago and they all have different reasons that make them great. Basically, though:
-I love ridiculous humour, particularly a character's ability to say something completely preposterous as though it's a totally normal thing.
-I love ******** plots, and moments that just make you think "wait, what?"
-Pacing is important. I try to avoid any anime that I have to use the phrase "get through" with.
-Fanservice is a plus as long as it doesn't get in the way of the plot.
-I'm a dubbedfag, but I'm open to subs and will switch to them once I run out of good dubs.
But yeah, there aren't a lot of anime that I've finished that I'd say I didn't like, and there are a few that I'd say were good despite not really being a style I liked. If anyone can give suggestions based on my list, that'd be much appreciated.

1. Sankarea
2. Mirai Nikki
3. Another
4. Psycho-pass
5. Deadman Wonderland
6. FMA & FMA: Brotherhood (I happened to enjoy both equally, so they both get the same slot.)
7. BTOOOM!
8. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
9. The World God Only Knows
10. Attack on Titan
And then number eleven, because I really enjoyed it, but there were to many good shows to put it in the top ten.
11. Hunter x Hunter (1999)
Partially because Hisoka's voice in this particular edition was downright orgasmic.
#49 - astriatus (07/12/2013) [+] (1 reply)
I am both emphatic and wordy, and therefore willing to bet that my list of 10 won't fit in one comment. Quite frankly, I'll be amazed if it's anything less than four.

Regardless, in ascending order:

10) Mirrai Nikki

This is one of the darkest, most perverse stories I've ever seen from any medium. For anime in particular, it is by far the most vulgar show I've seen—and that's coming from my experience with Blood-C, Elfen Lied, Claymore, Trinity Blood, Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne and more. Comprised of nothing less than an accurate depiction of sheer insanity, Stockholme's Syndrome, mob mentality, child neglect, rape, manslaughter, and heaps more, Mirrai Nikki is not for the weak-hearted.

9) Jormungand

By a wide margin the best gunplay I've seen in a non-mech anime (although Phantom: Requiem for Phantom is a close second), and paired with a unique, colorful, and abnormally large cast of characters to boot. The main character is a child soldier who harbors a grudge against arms dealers, who spends the anime palling around with a woman and terminally incredulous arms dealer. The animation style is a bit strange and may take some getting used to, but comparing aesthetics is one of the bigger reasons I enjoy anime, so I fell in love with it.

8) Bakemonogatari/Nisemonogatari

Speaking of aesthetics. The -monogatari series is the animation equivalent of high prose; it is entirely unorthodox but also well-constructed. Offering a bright color palette, overt contrast, tailored levels of detail in the fore- and background, contrasting styles of animation between scenes, and sharply defined characters, the entire series is eye candy. Better still, it makes effective use of strange camera angles and inserted shots in an avant garde effort to create emphasis and convey emotion. Very interesting, very well written, and with surprisingly good, albeit infrequent, action.

Continued below, because I enjoy writing about anime.

1. Cowboy Bebop
It was a masterpiece throughout and the ending was amazing. Nuff Said.
2. Katanagatari
Had a unique animation style and the story was quick and to the point. I really loved the relationship development between Togame and Shichika and the ending was possibly the most satisfying ending I've seen in an anime.
3. Toradora
Was an amazing romance anime that stood out from among the others. The characters where amazing, the plot was amazing, everything was amazing.
4. Princess Mononoke
Even though its a movie I ******* loved it.
5. Darker Than Black (Kuro no Keiyakusha and Ryuusei no Gemini)
One of the few Anime that I have been able to completely re watch and still love. Hei is ******* awesome.
6. Chuunibyou demo Koi ga ****** !
Very entertaining and very unique. Characters were loveable and the story was good.
7. Hataraku Maou-sama!
One of the best comedy anime out there. Everything was well delivered and was just an amazing show.
8. Seitokai Yakuindomo
If you've seen it there is no need to explain
9. Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru
Although the harem genre is almost always the same this one caught my eye a bit. Really liked the relationship between Masuzu and Eita, i really wish it would have expanded more on that instead of going with that typical harem ending.
10. Bleach
It was the first anime I ever watched and it was pretty damn good, for the first arc at least. Honestly I think if Kubo had ended it on the first arc it would have been a masterpiece.

Okay seasoned Anime watchers time for this page to be ruined by the guy with more fingers and toes than anime seasons completed. Buckle up kids, time for your rage to be stirred

Tied 1. Baccano! (10/10)
I loved this because it was absurd and yet it worked perfectly for me, even as i get round to watching things such as the super popular anime like Clannad and FMA: Brotherhood (I started watching the other one by mistake...) i think that Baccano! will still be my joint favourite ever anime
Tied 1. Duararara!! (10/10)
Think modern-day baccano with equally good characters, the plot was probably better but some of the characters in Baccano pulled it back to equality. Great anime for me.
3. Code Geass R1 and R2 (9/10) & (8/10)
3 words - Lelouch Vi Britannia. Looking back on when i first watched this it is only by a hairs breadth (the liking of something is of course intangible and personal) my 2nd favorite anime. the story and characters were almost as clever and compelling as Durarara!! and Baccano! respectively
4. Another (9/10)
What a twist. Thats it really, if you don't count the interesting characters/backstory, bloody coincidences and a whole heap of creepy dolls
Really good anime but not for the whole family
5. Angel Beats (8/10)
Now you'll probably think of me as a real big heretic when i say this next bit.
Didn't give me feels, Probably because the ending was nice especially that final scene where you assume that the people on that street were actually them (you know what i mean)
the thing i liked about this was the supporting characters were also pretty good, T.K was my favourite but they all had different qualities which made you like them

Special mentions (current watching)
Ginatama (9/10) (1 Episode Watched)
Girls und Panzer (7/10) (1 Eps W)
Cowboy Bebop (8/10) (1 Eps W)
If you somehow liked my list then give me more to watch
If not then feel free to vent your anger at me, i promise i will respond at some point
