I personally watch subbed animes, i dont have problem with fast reading and i personally dont miss anything if i read while i watch.
The bad thing about dubbed anime is the bad voice acting and the bad censorship from the regional TV.

I Like subs more, i dunno, dubs just doesn't give the same feel to it, i guess. Well anyways it's an opinion so can't argue with that. :l

Most FUNimaiton dubbed anime are great.
Especetically is produced by Justin Cook and voice matched by Tara Williams.

I prefer subbed for a few reasons:
1) I'm currently learning Japanese, so it makes for good practice.
2) Certain jokes/references are literally impossible to translate into English dub properly.
3) Japanese voices tend to fit the roles better... there are exceptions though.
4) Sub comes out WAY before the Dub.
5) Most series never get Dubbed. Ever.
If you like dub, that's fine. I personally prefer dub for certain series (Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, Cromartie Highschool, Great Teacher Onizuka, etc).

Sometimes I prefer dubs because I just can't stand those whiny, annoyingly high pitched Asian girl voices

I agree, I prefer dubbed as well, my main reasoning is because I multitask and don't like having to 100% focus on the screen.
What pissed me off is that I just watched season 1&2 of D Gray-man and all of a sudden they no longer have dubbed.. I got so used to their characters in their english voices, the original voice actor for the main character sounds like he's 5, and the translations are terrible.
Dubbed: "If I get there and he's dead, I'll never forgive him." Made more sense than
Subbed: "If he's dead, I'll kill him."
And I'm supposed to deal with that for 52 episodes?..
WHY STOP DUBBING MID-ANIME?
At least if I start one subbed I don't mind it at all, but come on..
Anyways, yeah, thumb for you.

I'm prepared to be probed by the mighty red thumb, but..
I can't be the only one on FJ that doesn't watch any anime at all, can I?
No wait, I probably am.
