If you could read, you'd know by now that Namekians are the dominant and seemingly only sentient race on Planet Namek. Despite the existence of the race being unknown until early in Dragon Ball Z, Namekians are actually one of the first alien races introduced it the original series, with Goku's introduction making saiyans the first. Notable Namekians include Kami, Guru, Piccolo, Piccolo, and Dende.
Despite having the ability to eat as humans do, Namekians gain all their necessary sustenance through drinking water. Many Namekians have expressed disgust, or at the very least hesitation, to eating at all, meaning that despite their ability to do so, it may be detrimental to their health to do so. Their body creates nutrients from water in a manner similar to photosynthesis. Oddly enough, they don't need to be nearly naked for this to work, which means MGSV has played us all like fiddles.
Speaking of fiddles, the names of the earliest Namekians were all musical instruments. Rather uniquely, Namekians have two sets of theme names, based off of who gave birth to them. Piccolo himself, as well as his sons, are, again, named for instruments such as Drum, Tambourine, and Cymbal. However, the citizens of planet Namek, who are, during the Frieza saga, all the sons of Grand Elder Guru, are named after gastropods, like Nail (Snail) and Cargo (Escargot).
The Namekian race consists of two castes; the dragon clan and warrior class. The dragon clan, as the name implies, consists of mystics and priests who have the power to create Dragon Balls. They also commonly have other magic abilities, such as Guru's potential unleash and Dende's healing powers. Despite usually being non-combatants, these Namekians commonly have very pivotal roles to play in the plot.
The warrior class of Namekians is a much less common sight. Due to the peaceful nature of Namek, there were less than 20 living specimens of this class by the time Frieza showed up, and they were nearly all wiped out by the time the final battle began. Due to the race's peaceful nature, the warriors were scarcely above 3,000 in their power levels. However, Nail himself, being Namek's strongest, was at 42,000 at the time he fought Frieza. Despite likely never having fought in a life or death battle before, he managed to be more than double Vegeta's strength in the Saiyan saga.
Namekians have the unique abilities to permanently fuse and even split into two beings at will. Kami and Piccolo were once one being, before the Namekian decided to remove the evil within himself in order to become Earth's guardian. Despite Piccolo being all the evil and Kami being all the good that the original Namekian once held, both sides were still able to learn behaviors that could be seen as the opposite of what they originally represented, meaning that they were still two entirely different people, rather than just good and evil twins.
Namekians are able to regenerate any body part but their head at will. Because they aren't cyborgs or inherently powerful magical beings, however, they will not be able to regenerate anything they do not have enough power left to regrow and then support as they normally would. As such, Namekians can still be killed without destroying their head or brain, simply by tiring them out before destroying the body. Due to this, Namekian warriors will usually go through battles without regenerating limbs after losing them, because they lose too much power to justify being able to punch twice. Namekians can also rejoin lost body parts to the greater whole, rather than completely rebuilding them.
When a Namekian lays, or rather, vomits, an egg, they have some will over what appearance the spawn has upon hatching. While this normally only dictates size, physique, or class of the child, more magically inclined Namekians such as King Piccolo are able to produce strange, lizard-like offspring. These mutants can boast features such as wings, tails, or snouts, and unlike their more humanoid cousins often lack the Namekians' signature antennae.
Despite reproducing asexually, by spitting out eggs several times the size of their heads, series creator Akira Toriyama has stated that Namekians are hermaphrodites.
Thanks, Doc!
One final ability Namekians possess, that's worth noting despite being fairly useless, is their ability to change their body's size at will. While this often manifests only in stretching their arms to punch or grab far away or fleeing opponents, but they are also able to grow to several times their own size. Growing in size does not affect the power of the Namekian, however, and can even cause their ki blasts to spread power too far and weaken.

Anyway, I got bored of arguing with people who were objectively wrong in the comment sections, so I'm doing DBZ comps again. If anyone likes these enough to have requests, feel free to ask. Basically anything from anything Dragon Ball is fair game, whether it's a specific character, race, location, or whatever.
