First season: Magi - The Labyrinth of Magic.
Second Season: Magic - The Kingdom of Magic.

Shounen anime. Doesn't seem like it would be very serious on a first glance but it touches on some stuff many others avoid like slavery, brothels, blood etc. Pretty good, would recommend.

The Manga fleshes out a lot more of the plot than the Anime.
But the Anime animates all the fights amazingly.
basically, the anime is an express train through the story. Evading many of the "filler" bits and skipping the first arc altogether.
The manga fleshes out everything perfectly and has a really gripping story.

In order to enjoy it to the fullest, I'd recommend reading the manga first, which you can do here: You need to login to view this link
Then watch the Anime.

But if you couldn't care less for the plot and just want some good high-budget animation action, just watch the Anime only.
