So is this actually any good? I watched the first 2 episodes and just deleted the series from my computer. It's the only anime I've ever done that with. Thought it was terribly tedious. Does it pick up?

Yeah it takes awhile to pick up.

A lot of the jokes are based on the character and running gags, so it takes a while to build that up.

Trust me though, it's worth it.

If you don't like it don't bother with it. I've dropped around 60 or 70 shows. No one's going to stab you in the middle of the night because you don't like Yuru Yuri.

Just kidding of course, but seriously it is a good show just watch it on animepalm or animefreak instead that way if you still don't like it you don't have to delete it.

Have you given Trigun a chance? I had a similar experience with Cowboy Bebop, as a critic, I can recognize that it is defiantly a top tier anime, but for what ever reason, I really didn't get into it until the end, and even then, I really didn't feel like my time was well invested. I had an entirely different experience with Trigun, I first watched it when I was about 13 ish, and even know, after I have watched it for the fifth or so time, I still consider it one of my top ten favorite Anime series. For me, Vash, the main character, is a lot more likable than Spike, and a few of the side characters in Trigun, can stand up straighter as three dimensional characters than what CBBP has. But I must give credit where it is do, CBBP does get much better once the rest of the cast is assembled, but that takes over half of the show to accomplish, and that gives Trigun the advantage as from right from the get go, you are introduced to the majority of the main cast, and the rest of the time is used for plot and character development. Buy defiantly give Trigun a try, it was produced by the same guy who made CBBP, so the artwork is similar, but much more well done in my oppinion.

You probably meant to use "definitely".

Well, nobody's expecting you to become a fan of it.

I have the same problem with Cowboy Bebop (I try and I try.. if I try again that will be my 5th try), but unlike you I might get raped by red thumbs for what I said.

I'm afraid you might, yeah. People illogically think that the older something is, the better it is, and because Cowboy BeBop is a bit old now, a lot of people will treat it like the god of anime. I realise there are some things that I just don't like, but I don't like not liking things, because then I stop them and I've left it incomplete.

It's ok. I mean, I watched it because I got bored of the regular "Im the only one who can save (insert here) with my super powers." Also, I think they made fun of the "main character" some, which I enjoy. It really is mostly just cute girls doing cute things though.

I really enjoyed that with K-ON!. Maybe I do just need to give it another chance.

Yeah, I couldn't finish K-ON! because I got bored. But that just goes to show that I should give it another chance as well.
