unignorablegirth ONLINE (08/31/2012) [-] Yes, Tobi was revealed as Obito but back when Naruto was being born and Tobi fought Minato, Kakashi was only 14-15, meaning Obito was about the same age, but when Tobi is fighting Minato he can't be 14-15

I certainly hope they touch on it at some point -there's no way some kid that could barely take on a random ninja (in the ark where Obito was first shown) could take on the 4th Hokage.
Now I need to go do something non-nerdy for a couple of hours... Also, was it not obvious that Tobi was Obito? Why does everyone on boards seem so f'n shocked?

unignorablegirth ONLINE (08/31/2012) [-] Yeah everyone kinda had the guess between Madara or Obito, however in the fight between Minato and Tobi, Tobi was still using dimensional techniques, making us think that it was still his eyes. But it seems impossible that it is 100% Obito pulling all of the strings here.

flappingtitties (08/31/2012) [-] Knowing madara he may have saved tobi using zetsu and "borrowed" his eye because his was losing its light and after the fight gave it back because the injuries sustained from his fight with Minato were taking its affects and he knew he was going to die

yunonomynameeh ONLINE (08/31/2012) [-] The dimensional techniques are still just Uchiha techniques though, there's no reason Madara wouldn't have been capable of them. And if Madara was the original Tobi, it would explain where Obito came up with all of this planning at such a young age. Madara could have even been the one to pass on those techniques to him (in other words, Madara started this plan, Obito is finishing it).
And if Madara started it, along with Pain, it would explain why Obito continued on calling himself Madara (if I remember right, even Pain and Itachi thought Tobi was Madara).

yunonomynameeh ONLINE (08/31/2012) [-] I was looking at the manga just now -in the chapter where Itachi shows Saske his memories, there's a frame with Itachi and Tobi standing right next to each other (this is around the time of the Uchiha massacre). In the current chapters, Obito/Tobi is just a hair taller than Naruto, who is just a bit shorter than Itachi (so Itachi and Obito are about the same height -I confirmed it with a couple of google searches just to be a bigger dork than I already am).
Anyway, in the frame I was originally talking about, from Itachi's memory -Tobi is considerably taller than Itachi (it nearly looks like a foot in difference). Of course they're just manga pages, but the artists seem to keep things consistent everywhere else, I don't see why they wouldn't here.
