Correlation =/= causation aside, I'm confused as to what this is trying to tell me.

Is it saying anime caused Japan to get nuked?
Or is it saying getting nuked caused Japan to make anime?

Should we all get nuked so we'll create a new form of media?
Or should we never use nukes again so the rest of the world doesn't ever create anything like anime?
