this is actually the first abridged series ever made...and its also the official dub of the anime.


basically the guys who made the original one did such a bad job that they went bankrupt, when they sold the dubbing rights to a company they just told them to do whatever the **** they want. so they did.

"Despite being based on a popular series of light novels, the anime's bland script and below-average production values caused the show to completely bomb, and it ended after only twenty episodes. Facing bankruptcy and desperate for money, the animation company sold the rights to ADV Films for dubbing in 2005."

I remembered it wrong, but the original version was still really bad, had ADV Films not done what they did, no one would even remember Ghost Stories existed.
