Naruto Shippuden is a piece of shit Anime that you shouldn't watch.
Naruto on the other hand.. give it a go, atleast the first 136 episodes.
In Shippuden, the author, Masashi Kishimoto, decided to change his entire plot, I feel I should mention that prior to Shippuden, the manga's plot was already "prepared", just like any good show should have. But he discarded his original plot completely in order to teach Japanese kids morals, naturally this created shitloads of plotholes that he had to cover over by shitting furiously over his work, in a so-called "asspull". I explain this here for people UP TO DATE TO THE MANGA.

So whether you should watch it or not? I'd say no. It's not worth the time invested, at all. Instead I'd recommend watching Hunter x Hunter or Toriko.

I agree theres a lot of ass pulls in the recent mangas
But lots of those plot holes can easily be solve by re-reading it.
As with shingami's mask, there was a penalty for using it, You will have to cut stomach open to release the content inside, but Orichimaru had a way to deal with it, by using his switcing body justu. Also I believe he said that he was researched about the Shingami after his soul arms were taken away, to reclaim it, but it was only years later that he found that scroll about the Shinigami's mask

No, they fucking can't. He tries to cover them up but he only digs out even more shit about them as he asspulls.
The thing it.. for there to be an item and a jutsu out there to summon Shinigami.. doesn't make sense. Not at all. Because Minato was the FIRST PERSON to ever do it. He didn't use a mask, and the Uzumaki were wiped out during the Second War if I remember correctly - Minato wasn't even BORN then, or he was really, really young during the war; how could he have access to the Uzumaki shack, when he's not even of Uzumaki blood? Rather, how could he have had been the first if the Uzumaki could do it during the second war?

Minato wasnt the creator of Dead Demon Consuming Seal, So he wasnt the first to use it.
The Uzumaki clan were the creator of that justu, and most of their history are unknown, they could have created the Shingami's mask as a fail safe, incase their justu was used agianst them.
Also note "The Dead Demon Consuming Seal" and "Dead Demon Consuming Seal: Release" are two different type of techniques

And for the Obito part. I would say that not everyone grows at the same height, Minato isnt a sensor type (I think) so i say he couldnt tell if it was Obito or not.
Madara was the one who gave Nagato the rinnengan, not Obito though.
For him controlling Kyubi, I dont know, so theres that plot hole, he could have learn it from Madara's research if he did any XP. he kinda left that open

Here's the thing... there was never a mention of the Uzumaki making Dead Demon Consuming Seal - at all, until the chapter when they revived the Hokage.
That's a 100% genuine asspull on Masashi's part to fix up a plot hole HE MADE. No matter what you say that fact won't change. Until chapter 619 it was solidified in STONE that Minato was the creator of the Dead Demon Consuming Seal and Dead Demon Consuming Seal: Release, but in chapter 619 Masashi separated them and had the Hokage revive, simply because that's what he had to do. He pulled a giant fucking asspull at chapter 619, and no matter how hard he tries to cover it up, that won't change.

First hundred episodes are good. After that you have 100 episodes of filler, followed by Shippuuden which sucks ass with crappy animation and also more fillers.

Tl;dr watch first 120 episodes of anime, then start reading manga.

naruto shippuden gets alot darker and more violent but yes the show is amazing as are some of the games I would try it if I were you

I tried watching, my attention was held up to the point were sosuke actively sought out a pedofile with a creepy tongue....Gaara, Shikomaru, and choji kept me going until that point though.

Beware the fillers with that show... otherwise yeah totally do it
