3 dyna fossil pachycephalo (1200/1300)
3 jowgen the spiritualist (200/1300)
3 safe zone
1 Vanity's Emptiness
2-3 Imperial Custom
So what does this do? Dyna and Jowgen prevent special summons, at all, this includes self-effects, monster, magic, trap, fusion, synchro, XYZ, and pendulum summons. Jowgen also has the added effect of being able to discard a random card and destroy all special summoned monsters.
Safe zone prevents them from being targeted with effects or destroyed by effects or battle. So they can only be gotten rid of using blanket send elsewhere effects, though since most of these cards are XYZ and Synchro monsters, that's not happening either, or by trying to destroy safe zone. Only downside being that the monster you hit this on has to be in attack position, but you can change it to def later. Something to be mindful of if you're low on LP.
Imperial custom prevents face up continuous trap cards except itself from being destroyed. So if they target safe zone you can hit imperial custom to make that fizzle.
A few other things I could recommend are:
Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell (Counter Trap): Powerful counter trap. If your opponents tries to active a magic card, you can discard a magic card and negate the activation, then they cannot activate cards with the same name for the rest of the duel. So your opponent tries to activate an MST and hit something you need, you hit that, and bam all of their MSTs are worthless now. Also good for crippling spelltower decks and Exodia Decks.
Necrovalley (field spell): Prevents banishing cards out of graveyard, prevents moving cards elsewhere from the graveyard except by own effect. Considering that a lot of decks use the graveyard as an extension for costs and whatnot it can cripple some decks, (Like Dark World or Satellars). Also, it's a field card, so it doesn't take up room on your backrow. It can be discarded for a cost of CSoftFS in a pinch. Only downside being that unless you're running gravekeepers you're basically closing your own graveyard off as well.
Mist Body (Equip spell): Poor man's safe zone, prevents a monster from being destroyed by battle. Good discard for CSoftFS if you've already got safe zone down.
Prohibition (Continuous Spell): You declare a card name and cards with that effect cannot be activated and normal summoned. Special summoned monsters with the declared name cannot attack or use their effects. So you square off against lightsworns and since they really can only destroy backrow with Lyra and the flip-effect dog, you can declare Lyra prohibited and you're mostly safe.
Des Wombat (Effect Monster 1600/300/lvl 3): Best anti-burn card. Protect him with something and all damage effects to you become 0.
I mostly just play on dueling network these days. Though really everything since 4D is spam spam spam monsters (some gimmicky decks like quick draw exodias operate differently). Whether you spam fusions, rituals, synchros, XYZs, or Pendulums you're just spamming special summons. You prevent the enemy from spamming their crap and they're forced to divert their attention to dismantling your stall cards.
Or... you really wanna be a dick, just manage to use 3 Ground Collapse. Sure, it really ***** with your backrow, but it keeps them from actually being able to play any monsters until at least one is gone. Each one prevents use of two Monster card zones.
Ground collapse must target 2 spots, so 3 unfortunately is not a valid thing you can play. You can combine it an ojama king, since that guy targets "up to 3", so as long as you got 1, he can go mop up the other ones.
Another large combo you can do is:
Vanity's Emptiness (Or Dyna protected by a safe zone)
Imperial Custom
Light of intervention
Mound of the Bound Creator
Reptiline Servant or The Tyrant Neptune summoned using Reptiline Servant and ideally Hardened Armed Dragon
Now your opponent cannot:
Special summon due to Vanity or Dyna
Set monsters due to Light of Intervention
Normal Summon due to Servant or Tyrant Neptune
You can target your own Monster card zone, or, if you aren't an idiot, you could technically target the same zone twice.
First exception is a card rule exception. It doesn't specify that you have to target your opponent's Monster card zones, so you can target your own. Just like any card that says you can destroy one monster would allow you to destroy your own monster (if it's more beneficial to destroy one of your own monsters. Very few cases of that actually exist, but it can happen).
Second exception is simple common sense. You can target a specific card with two of the same spell if it's still a valid target. You can punish your opponent with two of the same trap card if the effects would stack. Ergo, you should logically be able to target the same Monster card zone with the same restriction twice. The card doesn't have any sort of restriction on it saying you can't target a zone that's already a target of another copy of this card, nor was that included in any errata or judge's rulings on the card. The only restriction on the Monster card zones it can or can't target are that the zones can't already be occupied.
Best part is, Ground Collapse is a common, unrestricted, continuous Spell card that nobody really uses, because it's a common continuous Spell card that doesn't really fit well with any of the dozen gimmicky decks and their variants currently seeing play. It does, however, work well with decks that deal in high-ATK monsters that don't have piercing.
One of my best friends has a pyro burn deck with almost every trap and magic card burning, as well as a pyro dragon that cant be killed if another of that card is on the field. Also, baseball kid and a couple other extremely **** you cards.
After 6 games I predicted them to get CL and everyone thought I was crazy, now they are genuine title contenders. I kind of want them to win it aswell.
I'd wanna see the in CL but I don't think their form will carry them until the end of the season. It's Arsenal, City or United to win the title for me.
But I support West Ham so I just enjoy watching the football. You guys are kicking off soon.
Well considering we had the group of death and was through after 4 rounds while all other English teams are not, I think we've allready done it. Now to not get ******* Barcelona in the round of 16.
Holy hell if you do not know what the marshmallow monster is in yugioh, that means you never met one. Cause if you do, you never forget that ************ .
It's not cute, it's just smiling cause it knows you'll suffer.
would be cool but it doesnt quite fit in. My decks a mashup for a blue eyes deck I made long ago, and a new red eyes deck that I made recently. Quite a few cards in them went together so I see some potential there
Not overly. Blue eyes had a deck focused on getting them out, and keeping them out. My Red Eyes was about fusing them into their other forms and using effect damage to wipe out my opponent quickly.
My main combo I will attempt to run in this deck, which will be hard to get out since I do need a couple more cards, is the dragon master knight, equipped with the red eyes black dragon sword. Managed to get them out in a partner duel, as well as having a king dragun out on the field to protect them from targetting spells/traps.
my thoughts exactly. I also would like to make a deck based around cards that activate effects when they are destroyed when face-down, or have a big amount of flip effects with them as well. Just something to annoy people with.
moure around MEB, things that destroy opponents monsters and force discards, rather than just returning cards to the hand. That way, things like mirror force and magic cylinder don't come into play, so I wont have to worry as much
true, but if your opponent has a monster that activates its effect when summoned, and it is the only monster they have, then it can end up rather bad if you return it to their hand.
while true, a lot of people now use pendulums, and some are being used in strange ways. To fund parts of my new mashup deck, I sold 2 archfiend eccentricks for about $240 AUD. The cards I needed came to about $180
No, loads of people say "banged" I think because of some reference to some footballer. This isn't like the OPM stuff. This is just a phrase which doesn't sound as good as it could, imo :|
