I know this pain...
User avatar #13 to #4 - dragondubobski (01/15/2014) [-]
Physical anxiety with no mental anxiety to justify it.
User avatar #14 to #13 - minionofdolan (01/15/2014) [-]
I beg to differ but ok.
User avatar #15 to #14 - dragondubobski (01/15/2014) [-]
In my case, anyways. I'll be sitting in school with a completely calm mind yet feel as if I'm going to throw up if I don't leave.
User avatar #16 to #15 - minionofdolan (01/15/2014) [-]
I know that feel I do very well psychical shaking just uneasy all the time. I have panic attacks luckly none this year yet.
User avatar #17 to #16 - dragondubobski (01/15/2014) [-]
Yeah, that must suck I it is also accompanied by mental stress. I took a job as a cashier to try to overcome it and it helped a little, but it was hard. One time one of the customers asked me if I was okay, and I realized that I was actually crying. weird experience, considering that I was pretty much completely mentally calm
#18 to #17 - minionofdolan (01/15/2014) [-]
I dont know that pain but I can only imagine friend. Im usually just un easy all the time almost always around any kind of crowd of people. Even family sadly, I just shut down and my mind goes crazy if you ever need a chat feel free to talk to me. I mean that I know these feels and it sucks.
#19 to #18 - dragondubobski (01/15/2014) [-]
Thanks, I extend the same to you, And I know the uneasy feel. Recently Its been under control by just focusing on something outside, when in view of a window. I would recommend taking a job where you have to deal with people on a low level for a summer, if resources allow for it. but its rough for the first couple weeks
User avatar #20 to #19 - minionofdolan (01/15/2014) [-]
Im currently looking for work due to being fired. December just diddnt wanna end. My 7 week old cousin passed away on the 17th same day I got fired for not going to work cause I was out of town to comfort my cousins lose. Then I lost my sister a few weeks later. Hasnt helped anything for me I just feel alot sadder then normal, yet Im mad at myself cause I have yet to mourn the death of my sister, I feel like a terrible person but Ive been numb for so long.
#22 to #20 - dragondubobski (01/15/2014) [-]
Wow, I'm just thinking of both my sisters, and what I would do without one of them. My area has had several deaths of students all around my age, and it is always scary. But 7 weeks old is too young, and your old boss has no respect. Things like that make me wish I was religious so that I wouldn't even try to make sense of it on my own. I hope that you have the strength to keep living, and I hope that the picture describes us in a couple years, or at least any time in the future. Just have to have some faith that some day It will seem worth it to be alive
User avatar #24 to #22 - minionofdolan (01/15/2014) [-]
Edit btw sorry I lost my cousin the 7th and my sister the 28th. I apologize for the error dont want you to think im trolling.
User avatar #23 to #22 - minionofdolan (01/15/2014) [-]
We will see where are you from? Merica here Oregon specifically. Im sure everything will work out fine in time.
User avatar #25 to #23 - dragondubobski (01/15/2014) [-]
florida, where stuff like this happens
I don't really doubt that it wont work out in the end, It's just that the only motivation I have to do anything with my life right now is knowing that I would regret it if I don't. which works, but its pretty weak motivation
User avatar #26 to #25 - minionofdolan (01/15/2014) [-]
Seeking help isnt weak motivation. Seeking help means you want/need help, its better to seek help then to lay in sorrow and dwell within it. I assume your around the age of the kids in the article. Im 25 so I have a few more years of depression on you not bragging btw. Misanthropy is a strange animal it can liberate yet it still destroys. We all have diffrent ways to cope you just need to find something to help, since depression and anxiety pretty much are hand and hand. I support you seeking help and encourage it for your all over well being. Gonna switch this to PM's no offense to FJ but im sure there all probably sick of us talking about our issues as well as OP lol.

Im homeschooled. I leave my house less than once a week.

This post shouldn't have made me feel bad but it did.
User avatar #37 to #34 - SognaVetr (01/15/2014) [-]
Stop getting homeschooled and go to a school. Thank me later.
#39 to #37 - snakefire (01/15/2014) [-]
Thats not always an option for everyone you know?
User avatar #40 to #39 - SognaVetr (01/15/2014) [-]
What's your excuse?
#42 to #40 - snakefire (01/15/2014) [-]
Family doesn't want me in public school, I can't focus in public school (I can't focus at all, but its easier in homeschooling), I have anxiety around a lot of people, I DID have a job in the family business that school would interfere with, but I don't anymore.
User avatar #45 to #42 - SognaVetr (01/15/2014) [-]
It shouldn't be about what your family wants but what you need, going to a public school will help you deal with being around a lot of people. Do you think you'll be able to hide from people the rest of your life?
#46 to #45 - snakefire (01/15/2014) [-]
So be it, just because it shouldn't be some way, does not mean it is. My family does not want me in public school, therefor, I wont be in public school.

You make it seem like this was my decision.
User avatar #51 to #46 - areialview (01/15/2014) [-]
I am in the same boat as you I would get a job to help my family if only the closest town was less than about 10 miles away
#59 to #40 - amuzen (01/21/2014) [-]
My excuse when I was home schooled was that the principle had it out for me when I called his wife, who had a degree in Spanish and was hired to teach world history, a terrible teacher because she called an entire class of 30 people stupid and kept contradicting herself as well misquoting historical facts.

I was then assigned a broken locker and he would give me and my friends detention for the stupidest **** , the point where I actually left was because he forcibly made me fail my math finals. During lunch before class I was studying with my headphones in then I put them in my backpack and he told me to put them, as well my laptop in my locker. When I respectfully told him I couldn't because the lock was broken he pulled me aside to lecture me on how he could suspend me for 'disobeying a reasonable request from a school official' after 40 minutes of him lecturing he escorted me back to the math class while there was only 10 minutes left to take the finals and told the teacher to give me an 'unexcused absence' immediately dropping my grade from 85% to 45% and thus a failing grade.

Situations like this happen in smaller communities, we called the school board and they said they would have someone investigate so they sent the principals own brother to sit in classes for a day then he left at which point they gave my mom a black mark effectively ending her own teaching career in the area.

Schools in smaller communities are ****** as **** dude, the school board can be completely dominated by a single family and the teachers care more about getting paid than actually teaching anything. over 80% of the students in that school of 98 were classified 'special ed' and needed additional funding which went to hiring more of that single families close friends and family, the person who classified them special ed, the principal.

In other words it kind of annoys me seeing all these people gang up on this kid just because he's ******* homeschooled even though they known nothing.

I HAD a job and contributed all I could.
Not many places want to hire a teenager with no license either.

Not to be rude, but kindly **** off with your assumptions please.
User avatar #47 to #44 - pulluspardus (01/15/2014) [-]
Ya spoiled ****

I'm obviously joking/teasing... well kind of

but reading your comments it seems you can't live without your parents telling you what to do, you can't live under their shade for too long and the sooner you get out of your bubble the better, you don't really have to be a social freak to do what you wanted, look at me , I'm LESS social than you are, I haven't met someone I personally know in close to HALF A YEAR, but that doesn't mean I can't do whatever I want to do because I'll do what I want even if it means telling my family to **** off my life.

Ya spoiled **** , stop being a push over and start pushing yourself.

Advising (if bluntly) people to grow up out of their sheltered lives is a terrible megafag thing eh.

User avatar #54 to #50 - badmonkey ONLINE (01/15/2014) [-]
You know close to nothing about him (might even be a her) yet you're "advising" him to decide on such impulsive life-impacting decisions, don't you think that is somewhat, if not very, irresponsible? Moving out of the house does not necessarily mean less burden to the family and just because someone treasures the connection to their family more than you doesn't mean they are spoiled

#56 to #52 - amuzen (01/21/2014) [-]
when I was home schooled it was specifically because as a home school student it meant that we got to use the government budget for my schooling for anything we could justify that would benefit my education which meant a middle end computer, electricity, and a dial up connection.

Honestly you kind of seem like an asshole.
User avatar #58 to #56 - crimsonsunshine (01/21/2014) [-]
You are lucky to have access to clean water let alone an internet connection. Please don't pretend you have it hard when there are thousands of people around the world starving and dying of simple illnesses that could be fixed with the most minimal of medical attention an infrastructure.
#60 to #58 - amuzen (01/21/2014) [-]
it's easy to sound all high and mighty and talk about the ********* places in the world then call everyone else spoiled when you know nothing about the people you're accusing.

Yeah yeah yeah, everyone living in a developed country is spoiled because they didn't grow up with a gun over their head what a bunch of ******* ingrates they don't even understand that somewhere in the world there's someone puking up their guts and dieing of ebola but you know what there ain't **** we can do about that because for the most part these countries DON'T WANT our help because they've been tricked by some **** faced political warrior that integration into a developed country will mean they will lose their own culture and soul in the process. I'll take criticism for how ****** their lives are only if they make a solid effort to ask for our help but until they collectively ask as a majority for our help I can't be expected to be some sort of savior of their people. It sucks they gotta go through that **** but really what the **** are you doing about other than scrolling around the internet insulting people and stirring up trouble yourself.

I never made any claims to having the hardest life in the world but I'm sure as hell not gonna be called spoiled by some punk ass kid on the internet just because I had the bear ******* minimum of someone in my community growing up.
User avatar #61 to #60 - crimsonsunshine (01/21/2014) [-]
Since I can't help people in 3rd world countries due to my obligations here, I volunteer every weekend at my local soup kitchen. What are you doing to help?
#62 to #61 - amuzen (01/21/2014) [-]
I pick up garbage on sundays, regularly donate to oversea relief efforts, and have on average participated in 5 charity fund raisers a year since I became an independent three years ago.
On top of that I always donate the deposit change from any and all cans that I either collect/purchase and last year I used to work weekly at a charity can drive where I would sort through over 5,000 cans and other depositables with the proceeds going to relief efforts for children with aids in Africa.
User avatar #63 to #62 - crimsonsunshine (01/21/2014) [-]
That's great man. Glad to see you didn't let your poor living conditions keep you down.
#64 to #63 - amuzen (01/21/2014) [-]
They were only really ****** during my childhood, when I turned 18 I came into a modest inheritance and have been using it to try and help keep my family aloft while I get an education that can sustain a decent paying job.

my main point though still stands that just because you're home schooled or hell even just because you have internet in no way means that you're spoiled, if you're in a developed country like the US internet can literally be free and there are a lot of extraneous circumstances that can force someone into a home school setting.
