For the price of one Nvidia GTX Titan, I could build my PC again.

Does anyone know that a Radeon 7990 is still better than a Titan for gaming?
I still don't see the big deal, AMD cards have been leading in gaming performance for quite a while. CPUs on the other hand...

They are close, but the AMD Radeon HD 7990 is better than the titan.

2 gtx 760's outperform a titan as well and you can save about 300-400 too.

The point was rather that ONE 7990 (which, granted, is 2 7970s on one board) will beat any single-board nVidia card.

Dual cards are a different comparison.

micro stutter on amd cards it still pretty bad, i had 2 5770's a while ago and they would get 50fps in a game but it would look like 25.

I rly think that people doesn't need that good graphics card just yet D: but if you get one, you shouldn't need to upgrade it for a while

Unfortunately, all graphics cards burn out or become obsolete within a few years.

So upgrading would have to happen relatively soon after the purchase point.

What a coincidence by the way. I'm building a new PC in about 3 weeks, been doing a lot of shopping around. Though I can't afford anything as special as the Titans, I know how great they are.

amd has been leading the graphics race for a while. Not to mention the nvidia runs way to hot. Sure amd doesn't have as great as drivers they're still better

The titan isn't really made for gaming, but doing computing tasks (It is a workstation). That's why I pref the AMD 7990.

I have that graphics card sitting on my desk.
I can't install it for 2 reasons.
A) I still need to patch my other two RAM slots, so I doubt my PC could handle anything that needs a graphics card like that
B) It doesn't ******* fit in my PC and I'm too lazy to change the case
