I don't know, there've been some great successes when developers decide to take another stab at things if they didn't work out the first time. Examples include Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Hellsing Ultimate (the OV series), Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time trilogy and the recent Spec Ops: The Line.

Yes but you're saying the shows better if it was complete crap the first time around, but if something was good the first time around it has nowhere to go but down. It's okay to remake crap but leave the good shit alone man.

Okay, I'll admit Brotherhood was decent, not better then the original but decent.

Brotherhood IS the original, it is based of the manga while the 2003 anime is not. In my opinion it is much better than the 2003 version.

I know brotherhood follows the original story line, but the 2003 series is often called the original because it was the original anime series. And yes you're correct, when it comes down to it the whole 2003 vs brotherhood thing mostly comes down to personal opinion.

The Full Metal Alchemist anime deviates from the manga's plot, and changes quite a few things.
FMA:B follows the manga exactly.
