yup. It's one thing to enjoy Sword Art Online, it's another to think it's actually a Good Series.

Is that so? I've watched over 1000 anime series start-to-finish, and a few hundred manga/Light Novels. How many are you at?

I don't count, I'm on anime-planet.com, which has a checklist-type system for it all. It also has reviews, Anime recommendations, a counter of how much of your life total you've spent watching anime (I'm almost at 10 months), etc. You need to login to view this link is a similar website, which is more popular than AP, but I prefer AP. If you're complaining about running out of series to watch/read, I recommend those sites to you. When I first found AP/MAL, I had watched about 300 anime: and complained about having run out of series to watch... Let's just say I was wrong in that notion, there's much more.

Why would you brag about how much anime you watch...

That's essentially the same as bragging about how much television shows you've watched. All in all it's just saying 'hey, look at how much time I spend watching cartoons instead of doing something actually useful'.

Now I'm not here to judge, especially considering the fact that I love to watch anime just as much as the next guy - and I've spent more time than I care to admit watching anime.

In this discussion: rather than bragging, I was replying to his statement that he's "watched so much anime that he has nothing left to watch". I also tell people that want anime recommendations that I've watched that much anime: simply because I have watched that many, and as such, I know a lot of series to recommend to people.

Actually, you can. they were released separately from other things, so it counts. Movies are stand-alone "series", OVAs count, Specials count, even those 3-minute episode **** series count (didn't really watch many of them though... maybe 2-3). Counting all of that, I've watched almost 18000 episodes (counting movies, OVAs, and everything else as separate "episodes").

Spice and wolf is by far one of my favorite series, but after watching the first episode of Shingeki no Kyojin: it has potential to overtake Spice and Wolf. You simply could not understand how good this is without watching the first episode first. Of course, that's just talking Potential, but there's no guarantee that it will be better than Spice and Wolf.

I don't see how people actually like Spice and Wolf.

I watched one episode, and was turned off by how... plain it felt.

Spice and Wolf is not an action anime by far, but it is AMAZING. You should never 1-and-done unless a series is absolutely horrible: give everything you can at least tolerate a minimum of 3 episodes to grow on you.
