Well, this is it. The 20th anime soundtrack comp.

Although each of these comps garnered only a moderate amount of thumbs, I was happy to meet new people and discover new anime through the amazing song suggestions. I also wanted to thank the small group of FJers who constantly supported me throughout all the comps and I want you to know that I could keep making these comps because of you. Without the support I would have stopped at around the 10th one or something. Seriously, you guys (and gals) are awesome.

If you still did not see your suggestion, then I apologize first and foremost. Most likely, 1) someone already suggested your song, 2) you probably suggested an OP/ED song; 3) you probably suggested a song from an anime that had been mentioned at least 2 times or more (Bleach, Fairy Tail, Cowboy Bebop, Initial D, Kill la Kill, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, etc.); 4) you probably suggested a bunch of songs (3 or more) from which I only chose one; 5) I subjectively decided that some songs were not “memorable” enough (like, every anime will have some sort of sad soundtrack but only a few really stick); or 6) they're still on my suggestions list.

Now, is this is the end of anime soundtrack comps? Hopefully not. I just want to put the comps on a temporary hiatus since I’ve been so busy lately with life and work. Call it an end to a season, if you will.

I do have something planned for the next step in anime soundtrack comps, so I hope you look forward to that.

To properly enjoy this comp, put on your earphones (headphones, etc.) and listen to the Youtube playlist while browsing through FunnyJunk or doing something.

If you have suggested any of these songs previously but are not getting credit for them, message me or comment on here.

Ew, press view > arrange windows > default

That said though, fellow FL user here. It's decent, I wish you had done more with the song progression. I'm never impressed by taking songs and slicing them up without composing something unique on top. Keep it up, though.
#86 to #85 - kingdaniel (09/15/2015) [-]
I made that for fun.

This is something I consider to be one of my best work. It's an original song though.
NOVILA - Planet Earth

Yeah, that's a lot better. Only a few tiny things I don't like, but I'm a perfectionist so don't blame me too much :v

It's still quite great, how long have you been working for?
User avatar #88 to #87 - kingdaniel (09/15/2015) [-]
I've been producing for 2,5 year.

send me your Soundcloud I'll peep it.
User avatar #89 to #88 - mrsonic (09/15/2015) [-]
That's awesome. I'm sure you'll be a lot better in no time, you've got some simple progressions so it's certain that everything will improve and take shape as time goes.

soundcloud.com/mrsonic699 Here's mine, but I'm not that happy about it as of now (I've got at least half a year worth of songs I haven't uploaded, improved a lot since the stuff I have one it) And I'm waiting to be able to buy Soundcloud Pro, so I can't upload any more ;_;

Here's a few sneak peeks of work in progress stuff:

I also liked your track Radius-1.
#90 to #89 - kingdaniel (09/15/2015) [-]
Ayy lmao not bad, but your music is too video game-ish for my taste. everything is good produced. I don't got nuthing to say about.
But have you considerd to make music for those ''indie games'' stuff they put on Steam and stuff. there are a lot of indie games with 8 bit style so you could produce for those kind of games if you wanted to.

I wanna learn how to make ochestra music. I've got some really samples.
Check it out how I loaded these samples with a midi
www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyCJPzK4_uc

I haven't really made anything good with this plugin yet so I used this midi to demonstrate it. it's on private atm since I have to add a description
User avatar #92 to #90 - mrsonic (09/15/2015) [-]
Yeah, we've definitely got really different styles, so no worries there brozinsky.

I did think about it, but I feel like I'm too much of a beginner to reliably and consistently compose good original songs for any indie game, so I'll try to do that in a few years. I really hope I can make a living out of this, since it's one of my biggest joys. I'm only 15, so the time I've got ahead of me should be more than enough, hopefully.

Yeah, SAM is pretty great. I however settled for the 140gb-ish monster Vienna Symphonic Library. I haven't made anything proper with it yet either, but I did make another Maj7th experimental song thing app.box.com/s/57gqxqj53p02eosqro35xsgtdjelivxo
#93 to #92 - kingdaniel (09/15/2015) [-]
It's good man. But I first gotta **** around with SAM. I used to had Edirol Ochestra. 2 years ago I searched for ''Free Ochestra plugin FL-Studio'' on Google and I rarely used orchestra stuff... It's not completely terrible but it's so ******* old. So SAM is a huge improvement.
#95 to #93 - mrsonic (09/15/2015) [-]
Also, for your style I highly recommend NI Massive, FM8, z3ta+ and Harmor or Harmless, if you're not using them already. Especially Massive, I can't express how much I love making synths with it. Keep it up with everything you're doing.
#96 to #95 - kingdaniel (09/15/2015) [-]
I have Massive Z3ta+ and harmor harmless but I rarely use them because I suck at the technically part of music.

I mostly use Nexus and Sylenth1. But hey, at least I don't put Soundgoodizer on the master....
User avatar #97 to #96 - mrsonic (09/15/2015) [-]
Nexus kinda hurts me, but Sylenth is pretty good. Keep trying to use even the complex plugins though. Research into sound synthesis, and some Massive tutorials. It's really easy to use, and it gets great results very easily if you know what you're doing. Besides, it's a ton of fun.

For example, made this thingy after half an hour, just 5 self-made Massive synths stacked together with some lazy drum beat on top app.box.com/s/cciy463idmrftahny0we9p8wxzyrlr0m

I'll take that as you liking it, or I dunno
User avatar #94 to #93 - mrsonic (09/15/2015) [-]
Definitely, I got Edirol as well but I kinda hate using it. Another few I often find myself using are Miroslav Philarmonik (love this one, even though it's not really realistic), East West Quantum Leap and Kontakt 5 default orchestra (extremely rarely). Best of luck, ma' man.

By the way, I do have a song that I'm working on which aims to be really close to The Living Tombstone's dubsteppy style that everyone seems to love, it's going pretty well so I wonder how people even receive that in comparison to my videogamey thingies.

User avatar #105 to #79 - deadmice (09/16/2015) [-]
Its pretty cool. Very good science (very few breaks from realism) and a pretty good story line. Doesn't fall into the whole "lol stereotypes x1000" on the characters, and it has a clear beginning, finish and end, instead of a lot of shows which just kinda drag on and stop without much of a conclusion.

It also has some amazing scenes for "feels" and a brilliant soundtrack. Dont be put off by the opening song, which is a little ****** (it shows up a fair bit into the first episode, but you'll know what i mean when you hear it).

26 episodes x 25 mins each.

Very good English dub too (I actually prefer the dub). The music has been lowered a bit during the scenes where it needed to be, and the actual dialogue is very well done.

It is great. It's about garbagemen in space, but deals with their relationships, obsessions, trauma, nihilism, and corporate culture. It is the first anime series that I went out of my way to finish.

It is also the series with the most accurate portrayal of spaceflight that I have ever seen.
User avatar #106 to #102 - deadmice (09/16/2015) [-]

#69 - coveredwithsores (09/15/2015) [-]
**coveredwithsores used "*roll picture*"**
**coveredwithsores rolled image** I'm not a big fan of anime, and while I think it's safe to say I hate most of it, I cannot help but love anime soundtracks. I hate DBZ, Bleach and Naruto for example, but I can't stop listening to the soundtracks for those three.
User avatar #103 to #69 - glabellanutella [OP](09/16/2015) [-]
I mean, I love anime, but I agree with you. Even if I personally disliked a certain anime (SAO, for example), I can't deny that a lot of work has been put into making the soundtrack so I can't help but love the music.
