The creators of Naruto, One piece and Bleach (Masashi Kishimoto, Eiichiro Oda and Tite Kubo respectively) all cited Dragon Ball as a main influence to their own works. Many other manga authors have often citied DB too over the years. So before you say DB is a **** animu, just remember that DB most likely inspired your favourite animu or mango you baiting piss pot.

Never heard of it would you recommend it?
User avatar #26 to #20 - mion (02/24/2015) [-]
I'd definitely recommend it. It's been one of the last drama anime I watched since most of them seem "meh!" to me now.

Seriously though, AnoHana shat on my heart. Big, fat dump.

I thought they where getting away from the erotic thing? But seriously though Anohana was the **** . Dat ending gets me ever time.

Etymology=/=Translation

masc. proper name, most modern uses outside Italy ultimately are in reference to Dante Alighieri (c.1265-1321), the great poet; the name is a shortening of Latin Durante, from durare "harden, endure". I'm open to the fact that is probably the truth.
User avatar #55 to #54 - sanitarysan (02/24/2015) [-]
i thought it would be funny...

nah it is fine, dante dies in the show anyway so she is not everlasting

Dragon ball is probably the best anime there is. Its one of my personal favorites.
User avatar #25 to #4 - mion (02/24/2015) [-]
While I also like it, I really despised the episodes in which you'd see a close up of Son Goku and his rival for 19 minutes, before he went like "HYAAAARGHRGHRBLARGHARGH!" and the episode ended.

If only it had been a single one.
User avatar #34 to #4 - Kairyuka (02/24/2015) [-]
If only it got the animation quality the manga deserved.
User avatar #36 to #4 - angelious (02/24/2015) [-]
i personally dislike db as a show..but i acknowledge that it is influental work in the world of animoose and mango and should be considered one of the greatest works in japanese cartoons....
#7 to #4 - wontkillu (02/24/2015) [-]
No matter what your opinion of the series is, it's one the most iconic animes ever. Also it's pretty much the template for shounen plotlines, I wouldn't even think it would need to be stated that it was inspiration for any shounen anime.
#9 to #7 - solomonkane (02/24/2015) [-]

Of course, the place she was working was a bath house which were known for people paying girls for sex. He wasn't being nice, he was being a creeper.

I don't know **** about anime. I'd like to but weebs are scaring me away from it (
User avatar #64 to #24 - hokeymon (02/24/2015) [-]
Just watch what you want and don't be a faggot about it.
User avatar #27 to #24 - mion (02/24/2015) [-]
Ignore them.

actually, I'm in a group called "Otakugroup Germany" (if I were to translate it, that is) mainly for the purpose to see hardcore cringy stuff and make fun of those plebweebs.

I guess it's the same as it was for bronies and cloppers, although I wasn't in that fandom (and I don't intend to).

Anyway, if you want recommendations aside from the "mainstream animes" (i.e. Naruto, Bleach and so on), feel free to ask me... Although it's been a while since I watched some dank animangeese, I think I still have somewhat an overview about the decent stuff.

For starters, if you want something not so fast paced/romantic/dramatic, I'd actually really advice you to watch either Clannad (+ Clannad: After Story) or AnoHana (or both) - both are very great and feely and made me feel like a huge pile of steaming **** for not shedding an actual tear, but only metaphorical ones.

If you want something fast paced, try Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan, very explicit display of violence, if you're into that), or Fullmetal Alchemist (I've been told that Brotherhood is better than the first take on FMA since it's closer to its manga, but I haven't seen Brotherhood personally). Many people like Sword Art Online and although I like the idea, the show itself loses pretty much of its quality after some episodes (i.e. after like episode 5 when it turns into a harem anime, basically).

Anyway, if you need any help or advice on another genre of your choice, feel free to ask me

I saw some anime, I used to a be little weeb-y, is that a word?.. anyways I was like 12 and I didn't do anything radical like posting **** on fb, I didn't even have fb back then but still, whenever I look back on me watching anime I gotta cringe, I saw the basic ones, Naruto, Bleach, Attack on Titan, Soul Eater (only anime I can watch now and not cringe.. dunno why). Anyways thanks for lending me a helping hand. If you have any reccomendations I'm looking for some goofy anime like Soul Eater, I liked that..
User avatar #75 to #58 - mion (02/24/2015) [-]
You might want to try Nichijou, then - or Watamote.
Nichijou is just full of "WHAT THE ACTUAL ***** ?!" moments and Watamote's Tomoko is just a huge dick while also being funny.

I read somewhere that the anime was supposed to focus on Kirito as he passed every floor, but that the producers/directors/whatevers wanted to fit the story into one season so they started skipping floors. However they grossly overshot it and wound up at the finale like five episodes early. It's why the first arc seems rushed and why the second arc is even there.

Well yeah, they are all influenced by being shown how not to do it.
