The conclusion of the fight between Annie and Mikasa in chapter 44 was never shown, Isayama said neither won because the fight was interrupted before it could even start.

In episode 23 the scene where Annie's identity as the female titan is exposed has been slightly altered. In the anime, Annie laughs out loud as opposed to her smiling and slowly forming a grin in the manga. Isayama himself pushed the change as he wanted to show Annie as more of an average person rather than a bad guy, her laughter is supposed to convey a sense of relief for Annie and is meant to show her feelings of sadness, shyness, guilt, lonesomeness and fear.

Gary from animation ****** up as in quite a few episodes Hannes can be seen wearing a uniform with the survey corps symbol in it. The same mistake is often repeated in the manga with Annie's uniform like during the scene where Eren and the others attempt to trap her.

Hanji's gender is still unconfirmed in the manga however in the anime producers went down the route of a female Hanji. Isayama said Hanji's gender is for the reader to decide, he also invited fans to decide any characters gender, even if they've been stated to be male or female, now your favourite waifus can become twinks.

Levi's age is one of several mysteries Isayama has hinted at in interviews. Isayama said Levi is surprisingly old, he hasn't give an exact answer but has said he's "older than 30".

In the original draft of Attack on Titan, after graduation the subject of Ymir slacking off to give Krista the 10th rank was discussed immediately, in the final draft Krista doesn't confront Ymir about it until much later.
