I have watched the AoT animu Multiple times , and have been thinking about reading the mango. Does the story differ between those two? Apart from mango going for longer I think(?) .

i know everyone made a big deal about the omnidirectional gear fluke, but based on the usage in the series and the description of what it does, i fifnd the "Omnidirectional gear"" to be a far more accurate description of what it does. 3d gear implies it goes up and down, backwards and forwards, and left and right the 3 dimensions. omnidirectional implies it goes any and all directions, which is more accurate.

I always assumed Armin narrated because he was the secret protagonist and he just liked talking about Eren a lot- sort of like how Lucy is the protag of Fairy Tail but it's mostly about Natsu. And also that he is the onyl one who survives until to tell the story in the end.

Also, FUNimation did an okay job, but the voice cast was predictable (if one has seen FMA dub).

To be honest, both of the names are pretty stupid. They would make sense if the devices were steerable, but they're really just jumpy swingy machines. They really only go forward without a structure to anchor to, and if they could independently move in all directions, they would be jetpacks. An appropriate name would be Spiderman Simulator 1587
