i like kyou, but i was really rooting for tomoyo--wish they would do anime for her tomoyo after game...but thats beyond the point...i think it would have been cool if there was a route where tomoya and kyou could have gotten together and raised ushio...seems like it would have been a somewhat natural progression

I really liked Tomoyo, but I didn't think he should have picked her.
In fact, I think the only one they could have picked was Nagisa.

Everybody else had an extremely bright future and Tomoya would have ruined them.
Nagisa was the only one who was bound to have a hard life after school just like Tomoya, so I like the way it worked out.

i agree about nagisa...never really thought about it that way...but whenever i played that game i always liked tomoyos ending the best...and i think there should have been an ending for kyou after nagisa...well u know...

That would have been a great ending if they had done that, instead of the pretty big asspull they did, but oh well. Tomoyo is best girl in my opinion as well, 7 days til the release of a fully translated "It's a wonderful life."

Hah, only for news updates on that though. I'm not the biggest fan of Doki subs but since they are the only group that is going to finish this VN anytime soon, I'll take it.

I wasn't ready to watch ~After Story~ until a week after I finished Clannad.
I knew that I would make me really sad if I didn't take a break.

You were smarter than me. I started only an hour or two after the first. And I nearly drowned on my own tears. :'(

Totally worth it. Ending was fan-fucking-tastic. Clannad, especially After Story, is the greatest story I have ever experienced. Bar none. I'm talking books, TV, anime, reality, all of it. Incredible.

yes it really was :') I have never cried harder over a show or movie. I NEVER cry, or even really shed a tear, but i set a record of crying, either out of joy or sadness, for nearly every episode. This truly is a favorite of mine to this day. Absolutely beautiful.

I can't watch either, after what I've read about it here, I don't even want to go there because of the mind rape it will actually cause me...I've gone through some shit that will traumatize me if I actually watch it.

No, alot of the tears are those of joy. And it does end very happily, so :D

Just the thought that its a young couple going through all the hardships to start a family...it makes my mind shatter with the magnitude of it all. It makes me remember times that I believed were glorious, until everything came crashing down. Really, I can't watch it because of the fact its a reminder of thoughts and memories I tried to lock away for good. God I am pathetic.....
