Man, that was a lot of waiting. I fucking loved that show though. It's a shame a few early episodes are so boring (read: until episode 7). Everything from there is incredible.

I've understood that. But you've really gotta know that Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann literally defies physics out of pure will. Shes a Dulahan. Irish folklore suggest shes an angel of death or something. She comes and douses a soon to be deceased human with blood to signify their time is nearing its end.
Her head and Body were separated. She can still function,as her body "remembers" but her head contains many of her memories and shes basically thinking about if she really wants her head back.
