I myself did not like the Christmas episode/ending. It really bothered me that everything that the first twelve episodes built up to and then ended it nicely, and all of a sudden took it in a completely different direction and tacked a new ending on. It seemed rushed and unnecessary.

Nevertheless, I still love it.

Well that's all a matter of opinion. I wish they would have done it in a better, smoother fashion, like another 12 episodes rather than one short OVA. I would've loved to see more episodes, but they ended it in such a way that there probably won't be anymore.
