Sorario Days - The Cringe-tastic Electric Boogaloo
Not gonna lie, I loved it. Check out from 1:45 - 2:50.

Hopefully enough of you will read the description.
I'm having trouble locating an anime, one that was apparently a manga and anime, even one licensed by Sentai Filmworks. Apparently it even got a live-action rendition.

Name: Magi no Okurimono
English Name:The Gift of the Magi

I am easily mistaken about things, and here is where I got most of my information about this. You need to login to view this link

If you have any info, please share.

Sincerely,
thebigbadjefe

But what does it matter when you are already dead, Link? You have lost, now you must only accept it.
#5 to #3 - bluemagebrilly (10/30/2014) [-]
Don't do that, the game theory guy made almost no sense with that idea.
User avatar #33 to #5 - jallelthalas (10/31/2014) [-]
I kind of agree. If it was a mental thing going on in Link's head, I was always likening it to the mental process of link turning into a stalfos instead. Considering that Hylians are supposed to turn into stalfos when entering the lost woods, and link being no exception to that. Considering the hero's ghost in twilight princess being stalfos-like gives a base to support that theory (although admittedly a flimsy one).
#34 to #33 - bluemagebrilly (10/31/2014) [-]
The only major problem with the theory linking heh that to Majora's Mask is that Link is still a child when he goes to Termina, and throughout the whole game. The stalfos you see in Twilight Princess is much older and has armor on, something Link doesn't have in Majora's Mask. It's likely he went on a journey after Majora's Mask and eventually got lost in all the doors, losing his body, but his spirit returned to Hyrule.

It could also be said his spirit and thus his stalfos-self reflected his appearance in Ocarina of Time after he got the Master Sword, but I don't think that is the case, mostly because he was still a child even after he became an adult.

Yes he did, you're probably just too simple to understand it.

Or you're in denial.
#12 to #9 - bluemagebrilly (10/30/2014) [-]
Everything he says is heavily opinionated, which is fine. Some people accept it and some don't, but...

Well, i'd pull up examples, but I don't want to watch it again. But the whole thing just seemed super forced while I was watching it and he skips over things that don't benefit his theory.

Like, how does Link die? From falling down? That makes... no sense, and there are plenty of "Lost Doors" in the Lost Woods, that's how you can teleport from the forest to Goron city. Saying that door he went through was a allusion to him 'dying' and not just another Lost Door is just silly. He doesn't even acknowledge the lost doors, from what I recall.

In my opinion, and as some others have speculated, his Journey to Termina was more of an allusion to him giving up or accepting that he may never find Navi, his friend he was searching for. And at the end, he accepts he may never find her, but continues to look for her anyways.

It's entirely possible he had 'died', but the Game Theory guy didn't handle it very well; He forced it too much, in my opinion.
#23 to #12 - htmm (10/30/2014) [-]
Meh, you may be right. I liked it because it gave a sort of dark twist to the LoZ story line.
Which like you said, some people accept it and some don't.
#35 to #23 - bluemagebrilly (10/31/2014) [-]
There are some pretty dark things in Zelda naturally, such as the Termina girl making her little sister drunk so she doesn't feel the pain and the two people you help get married and then decide to die together as the moon falls, even though one had the body of a child. That was pretty dark, for their standards.

I understand where you're coming from, but him accepting his death isn't that dark for me when there's things pointing against it. I prefer the Friendship thing anyways, mostly because I enjoyed Navi. It is a shame she has only appeared once since Ocarina of Time, and only for two chat boxes.
#21 to #12 - anon (10/30/2014) [-]
But falling damage was a thing in OoT. In addition, he does in fact mention that many believe his grief comes from losing Navi.
But I agree, the "arrows of light" representing transcendence was extremely forced, and his only "real" point that wasn't indicative of anything else was the effigy mask thing.
But hey, that's just a theory.
#24 to #21 - bluemagebrilly (10/30/2014) [-]
It was a thing, falling damage that is, but Link never took more than a half a heart, sometimes full if it was really far down. He also landed on a flower, and I don't think that makes you take damage if you fall on that. He may mention the grief, but then he jumps to Link dying right after. That's just weird.

I think the biggest thing that he didn't mention was the fact that Link leaves Termina and starts searching for Navi again at the end of the game. He just ignores it, or he said it was him 'moving on', but ignored that Link was back at the beginning of the game.

I don't recall the mask thing, but mots of the masks were silly. Only one that was really a mystery was the Fierce Deity Mask.

Really? I thought jumping in the Deku tree cost you more than that. It's been a while. But just that playing the eulogy song or whatever would spawn a statue whilst wearing a mask of somewho who died although it was only "implied" that the deku sprout died , but one could be spawned for link.
And yeah, he was pretty committed to that one theory, but that's kinda the point of the series. He at least gave credit that it might be wrong, which is more than I've seen from other nerds online.

Shame there hasn't been more talk about this mask...

Also, I don't know what you're asking in the description. If you have the name, then just google it and try to find what you are looking for.

Google? Oh MAN, how could I have not thought of that?

Seriously though, all I could find is a Wikipedia article and a Baka-Updates page.
I ask you guys because its possible there was something I missed.
