yeah well religions not as simple to understand as you'd hope - some seemingly minor aspects may get incorporated while other "major" tenets are completely ignored

i for example am catholic, and while i choose to love and be as gracious and kind and self-giving to those around me as possible, i pretty much completely ignore the entire old testament
