In a story read by Leonard Nimoy, Homer believes he has seen an alien whist walking home drunk though the woods. The rest of the Simpsons scorn Homer's story but he attracts the attention of FBI agents Mulder and Scully (from X-Files). Homer fails to show them proof of the Alien, which leads to widespread ridicule, except from Bart
Bart and Homer then Camp out in the woods, hoping to capture the Alien on film. The alien arrives but Homer scares it away in an incident with the campfire. luckily Bart caught this on tape. This is where Nimoy ends the story, and Squeaky Voiced Teen takes over.
This evidence causes a media frenzy around the area, with everyone (except Lisa) now believing in Homer. Lisa casts doubt, believing something more logical is afoot. Friday night comes and the alien makes a reappearance Like Urkel , promising love, causing the townsfolk to riot, but Lisa and Smithers stop them in time and reveal that the "alien" is Mr. Burns, with Smithers explaining that the glowing effects and pupil dilation of the "alien" is a side effect of Mr. Burn's treatment, which he revives regularly every week. Mr. Burns starts to revert back to his normal, mean self, but Dr. Nick gives him a shot and then the crowd and Mr. Burns break into the 1969 hit "Good Morning Starshine" from the musical "Hair"
One of the 10 bests episodes, great jokes abound. 10/10
