Say "I don't know. Just talking to myself."

Best lie I have for covering up for Freudian slips. Pretend it's just some drab crap that's irrelevant to everyone else.

A Freudian slip is more along the lines of saying something, but something else comes out, which is what you're subconsciously thinking.

You may be trying to say "I'm gonna beat you."

But what comes out is "I'm gonna bang you."

Purely saying something on accident isn't technically a Freudian slip.

Just saying.

Oh, I thought the guy was saying something else and that pun slipped in.

I'm curious what the term is for accidentally blurting out a thought is, and what causes it.

I don't actually know. I'm curious as well. I've never looking into it, though, cuz I haven't ever actually blurted something out without thinking. Though, I've thought about it, in depth.... Like when I was in school thinking about something I wasn't SUPPOSED to think.. or something I'm not supposed to say, I would cover up my mouth to make sure I wasn't moving my lips.

Kind of a similar thing, I pinch/poke myself to make sure I'm actually awake, even though I obviously am. I sometimes get into this... 3rd person feeling that makes me not sure that I really am, where I am, and doing what I'm doing.

Wow.... I got sidetracked quickly.

I actually kind of get what you mean. I think of myself in the third person a lot because I have gotten into the habit of thinking without the concept of the ego. I think many impersonal, third person things that avoid use of any first person singular pronouns.

It's weird. I'll think of myself as a piece of a huge collective of interacting things in the universe, rather than some entity that is separate in some way. It's kinda hard to explain.

Hmm... Sort of like Sims? I've never actually played it... but basically, you control yourself, but you're still just part of the game. You can see everything happening with you're 3rd person's eyes, but you can still only interact with things around your physical body. In the end you're just part of what's already there, and you don't actually recollect when your existence came to be, and when it will end... or perhaps it's just a cycle in which you're always a part.

That's not what I view, I'm just trying to summarize what I think you're trying to say. Let me know if I'm hot or cold, here.

I think we should all be friends.

Similar views, man? lol

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. I operate myself, and have my own thoughts and feelings, but as for my view of reality, I don't always look through my eyes, but at the best macro perspective I can muster.

I tend to have very in depth astral visions when I get into deep thought about certain things.... Especially when it comes to the universe. And even more so when it comes to before the "Big Bang". Whether it's just a theory or if it truly is the way the universe exists... like...

The Big Bang theory is when all of the mass in the universe condenses into a tiny ball, about the size of the marble, with such an intense gravitational pull that it basically makes itself crack and implode and explode, causing the masses to expand in "circles" or rings around the center... which at this very moment we are still moving away from.

But where I really get into this 3rd person mode, is when I think about the before and after. Like, eventually, we're going to have our gravitational pull bring us (every bit of mass in the universe, I'm calling "us" ...I find that odd...) all back together and form another marble sized ball and explode again... And this is gonna repeat itself for bilions and trilions and trilions of years. Its like... how long have we been doing this cycle? "Forever" is probably the correct answer, but if that's the case, maybe every single cycle, there is another "Earth".. or what if there is a blueprint when the Big Bang happens.. and every rock and piece of mass always fly into the exact same spot..? Are we just repeats? Have we, this exact embodiment of ourselves, existed, and lived before?

Have we developed these exact same technologies before? Maybe you and I have even spoken to each other before, in the previous cycle, and have had the EXACT SAME CONVERSATION.

There are theories that time repeats itself... well, what about a thoery that the entire universe repeats itself, down to every planet, person, every spec of dirt, and every single thought?

Its just an idea.. but hey..

Holy shit. I'm gonna be pondering this all night.

Hah! Good!

Its nice to see someone see my thoughts and seem like it may have an impact on their view of life.
User avatar #325 to #320 - madeyoulooknana (05/29/2012) [-]
I love this conversation, it TOTALLY pertains to me and how I feel as well. If I wasnt so damn tired I'd actually contribute more to this discussion lol
User avatar #326 to #325 - Bion (05/29/2012) [-]
Well, I'm always available to talk, if you'd like. I love talking with others about different views of life and such, as I don't get to do it very often, haha.

Add me as a friend, and we'll chat it up, or something.

This morning, I had quite the interesting idea on time travel. This is basically a post so that I don't forget about it, as I gotta go mow a lawn, and don't have the time to type it all out. x.x

Swing set, through time at regular speed, time jump, and reverse.

Ignore that. If you wanna hear about it, though, just ask.
