But you know... You can observe a planet from afar. And a super civilization is developed enough to not just kill everything instantly... But this would be true if we'd meet aliens species similar to us now.

This is the most thought provoking content I've ever seen on FJ, and of course it's from 4chan.

It is quite possible that some civilization ~5-10 billion years ago completed their first Universal computer, which calculates the movement of every particle in this Universe (and movements of particles in the Multiverse with different set of physical rules, but it's next level) and with that kind of a computer it is quite easy to calculate where ever "stuff" in the Universe is. So I don't really think that it would be hard to calculate the threat level of every situation ever imaginable.
Also, I'm pretty sure those guys love to play games like us. I think they play chess with matter and being very, very intelligent, they can calculate events happening in the future with ease. And the game would be to go back in time the farthest you can to make something happen in the present and the person who can calculate every situation and make them "realize" themselves in "present" in the fastest/farthest time (for example, The Big Bang) and that guy would be crowned "God". There is a bad side with being that "God" though - it's hard to find love when everything is 100% logical. That's the worst side of getting smarter and smarter (imo).

If you ever wonder how we would react to aliens and vice versa just think about how the Europeans reacted when they went to the new world

this is shockingly true
its like playing a game
you are hidden from the enemies and them from you, but you cant just go about shouting i am here, you will be killed
after all there can only be one winner and if you had an ally you would know before the game starts

Too bad its extremely unlikely that the time lines of any intelligent civilizations would overlap.
