Had something similar on Turbine. All engies building a wall of sentries using the logic that the knockback would be uncontrollable. I was the only person on the team not engie (Medic) because I know, as funny as the plan was, it would fail.

Almost all of the enemy team goes demo to lob stickies, and a vote starts to kick me because I'm not engie. Unfortunately, the demomen broke through right as I was kicked, and the last thing to grace my ears was an engies death groan as he was gibbed.

I'm all for ending tax breaks on the rich, but increasing percentages just because they are rich (how dare they) makes me uncomfortable. A rich person paying 18% next to a middle class paying 18%, rich guy is still paying far, far more and the majority of the country's tax income. Raising the rich guys percentage borders on socialist wealth redistribution.

The reason American medical costs are so high is because the huge amounts of lawsuits hospitals receive all the time. To cover the legal losses hospitals have no choice but to jack up the prices. Considering our dependancy on carbon based fuel sources for energy, I can see them easily just raising the price of things to pay for it.

Unfortunately, I don't have any funny stories like the one in content; my favorite moments while playing online have been the ones where I'm a goddamn hero for the team. I'm good at FPS games in general, so it happens fairly often.

A notable recent example: playing Halo 5 Warzone, my team's being beaten badly, but I've been keeping my distance and locking down the Fortress in the center of the map, where the legendary Promethean Knight spawns. I'm slaughtering with the BR; I'm about 21-0 at this point.

I req an ONI Scorpion tank and strongpoint one of the Armories. From there, I absolutely annihilate their team. I destroy 2 Scorpions, 3 Wraiths, a banshee who was dumb enough to keep trying to strafe me, and several light ground vehicles while killing tons of infantry. It was like an even more ridiculous tank massacre than the ending of Fury. I also drop a legendary Banshee pilot (I think he's Baron S'Roam, but I can't remember) before my tank gets killed with me in it. That was my first death.

I picked up a few more kills, then REQ'd a Spartan Laser to use against the Warden Eternal. I did enough damage against him to count as a Legendary takedown when my team finished him.

My final stats were 61 Spartan Kills, 2 Legendary boss takedowns, and one death. **** was amazing.

Oh, and another that happened today, which wasn't as impressive but still cool.

I was playing TDM in Black Ops 3 I somehow keep buying Call of Duty despite being unhappy with 60% of their releases. We were on that map with the mansion in the snow (I think it's actually called Stronghold, coincidentally).

My first life was unremarkable, because I only killed one guy before going down, but I got lucky as hell after getting killed. I spawned looking at a group of them as they came through a door (thanks Call of Duty spawns, which always result in me either killing or dying immediately). I thought it was two, so i aimed my Kuda at them and held the trigger. I got 4 kills, because they were so bunched up that I didn't even need to move my reticle.

After that, I picked up a dozen more before dying, using my Kuda and a Shieva that I picked up off of an enemy who kept trying to get into the area I was controlling. Then I used my score streaks, which included a Talon that got me 9 kills and a Hellfire that got me two. I killed 4 more during the game, giving me a K/D of 32/2.

It turned out I was the only positive player on the team and we only won by four points.

Maybe its different on aus servers, but I very rarely saw kids on any of our more popular servers, and when they did talk on mic the whole server would just mute them rather quickly. Ironically, it seems the cartoonish graphics made kids less likely to play tf2 because they thought they're too grown up for it. valve servers did suck though, i'll admit.

Literally my best tf2 experience:
Searching for a pub for one of my favorite maps. Hit a nearly full 24/7 server.
Two guys in voice chat were talking about computers.
I asked a question about Mac Vs. PC as a joke.
It wasn't flat out bait, but it was pretty mean-spirited.
They answer with a completely serious and straightforward answer of the pros and cons of both and why they prefer one to the other.

I respond kinda shocked that I was on a Mac and was looking into switching but didn't know enough to do so.
For about 2 hours we play the damn game and they lecture me on actual computer **** . Like in amazingly simple yet effective terms.
As I warm up to them, I joke less and question more.
I took notes, on paper.
I have to go to a church thing or some similar event.
I thank them for their time.
They thank me for listening.
I stall for last minute advice.
They have none.
I continue stalling anyway for some reason, didn't want leave these guys I guess.
I notice I'm nearing the top of the leaderboard
not because I was any good but because of my long stay.
Really weirded out by this because two hours wasn't actually that long. (for that server at least it wasn't very long at all)
Stall a little while thinking about this,
Then it hits me, not a single person voted to mute or kick us during the game. An entire pub that couldn't have dropped below 18/24 people listened to these guys and me talk computers and stayed.

I mean sure they could have muted us from their end or opted out of game chat, but kicking or muting people for the entire server is so much easier.
I think it's called gagging, its been a while since I've played tf2 to be honest.

I finally log off.

2-3 years later, present day.
I have a desktop PC, custom built by my brother (and me a little).
It's about 1.5 years old today.
Not exactly a beast, definitely not flawless, but I have this thing customized up the ass. I'm not the kind of guy to turn it into Jarvis but just so many little details that most people don't recognize the OS. I don't know exactly how to describe it because I use stupid nicknames for everything, like literally everything. I sound like an idiot when I talk to someone who I don't know about it and I confuse bottles with Bootcamp.

I never friended those guys, I never favorited the server. I don't even remember what their names could have been at the time.

Stupid epilogue time, I have since joined a gaming community and met online friends, some of us are tighter than others. I still like tf2, but not crazy about it or anything, not like I was back then. Mostly we just call on each other to do stupid stuff in games. Best example is things like Overdrill in Payday 2
(if you dont play payday its an hour long defense mission. Its unlocked by all 4 players standing in specific spots on the map. I dont know what comes next exactly. It was an ARG like the recent binding of isacc thing in the first payday game, was ported over recently. I don't know all the details, I just know it pays big bucks, and takes forever)
Basically, either self made, dev made, or community made challenges in our favorite games.

We play like normal people too of course but I figure that little detail is more interesting.

It is far more realistic than most other games.

it takes in consideration velocity, force, angle, and then calculates how deep you will penetrate.

i basically just flanked the three kingtigers in the middle of the town because they were busy shooting at my team mates. so i just drove up to them and shot each one almost point blank into the thin side-armor those three kingtigers were out of the game in about 20 seconds.

What I mean is that there are random stupid things that happen, such as a T-34-76 killing three Panthers from 800m on open ground from the front, when the 76mm cannon lacks the penetration to harm a Panther from that distance with anything but a shot-trap hit. And even then, theres a good chance it would bounce.

Not to mention that a T-34's optics likely werent of high enough quality to even make a hit at that distance without a few rangefinding shots, let alone penetrate a small weakspot on three separate vehicles within 10 shots, while bouncing all return fire from three kwk 42 75mm cannons.

Yet thats what seems to happen. When I play, at least.

Played some Halo 3 on the windmill map in a local RT meet-up. Me and Little bro against two guys in their twenties, pretty even match until the very end. 10 seconds left on the clock, little bro and one of the enemies killed each other leaving the score at 24-24. Other dude has a sniper and me pinned, I've only got a BR and one grenade. Dude relocates infront of a fusion coil, 7 seconds left, clean line of sight. Lob the grenade and snap a few shots at him. Pop go the shields and bang goes the coil! Got a cheer from the rest of the cheeto covered people there.
