Works out to about $50k a year. It's not about the money at all, I pay £4k a year for accomodation and food on base, the rest is mine to spend as I see fit. Like all guys (and girls) on a base with a runway, I own a beautiful bike which is raced every sunday on the strip.
I also get flying pay on top of the annual salary.
