So you guys are really doing this now?

This weekend marks the mint
Iitt anniversary ofthe abolition ofthe slave
it trade by Act of Parliament. The procession
from Hull to mark this anniversary has
been accompanied by a chorus of‘ mea
cuppas' from the great and the good.
Politicians, religious leaders and social
activists have illumined in to bewail the
undoubted horrors and to
apologise for British complicity in this
social evil.
Those marching have been shackled
hand and foot and have been wearing
sweatshirts saying: "So sorry."
And yet this should be a time of
celebration and for
Brolaire role in bringing this great
oppression and cruelty to an end. Why do
the leaders and people ofthis country find
it so difficult to acknowledge their
achievements and to recognise the true
source eitheir moral commitments?
lfa civilisation is constantly criticised, run
down and , the danger is
that its virtues will cease to flourish.
According to W. E. H. Le we the great
historian, the Act , andthe
struggle that letto it, marks the
perfectly virtuous pages in the history of
this nation. trom HI!”

Stop carrying around meaningless guilt for the actions of your predecessors.

Right because I'm supposed to be sorry for something that my ancestors did, in a generation I never existed in, in a country I have never been to, for a crime I never committed.
So that the descendants of the slaves, who were never wronged themselves, can pretend like I owe them some sort of apology, solely based on the fact that they were born a different color.

...seems logical.

1. Barbary pirates were African Muslims who took about 1 million white slaves during the same exact time period as the Euro/American slave trade
2. Africans sold each other to white slavers
3. Had it not been for the slave trade, most Africans wouldn't be in America or Europe
4. The sins of the father do not pass to his sons
5. Britain panders to its minorities way too much
6. Anyone who participates in that is a ******* retard for thinking it's atonement

Remember folks
The number one producer and exporter of slaves were Africans
They captured and sold their neighboring villages and in rare cases they even went to the Coasts of Europe to steal coastal villagers as slaves
As rampant as slavery was in the Western world, Africans had on average three times as many slaves.
You had no real social standing or value unless you had a slave. In fact if you didn't have a slave you could easily be taken as one.
To show their wealth many African tribe leaders would slaughter hundreds of their slaves just because they had so many and could afford to lose them.

**** sake. no one is alive from this era. It's history. We should just learn our lessons from the past and get over it, we are not responsible for the actions of by gone generations and do not not need to apologise for this, it's like Egyptians marching in shackles saying sorry for enslaving the Jews.

i especially hate the fact that there is a kid no older than 12 there. this "holiday" is teaching this child to hate himself and his race. if he doesnt grow up being a push over and taking it in the ass from every black man he meets i would be surprised. the white race is under attack from the people who wanted the same rights as us. now instead of living in peace and harmony like we were supposed to when the slaves were freed and civil rights were given blacks want to attack whites

I don't like the past. Some things should stay buried.

These, have no application to us now. And that's what pisses me off about black people(mind you I have a very good friend and shes black, but she never acts like this) and any time they do something stupid, many scream "This is racist! The white man is oppressing me cause I'm black!" Hell, there's some black people around where I am who you even mention that you are white they'll go all out on you about it. And all I say to them is the black man enslaved his brother first. All the white man did was capitalize on it and give them more reason to do so.

You know who's oppressing you? You. Nobody oppresses you. Its your own perception of your inabilities. Sure you are poor, but you can work your way out of it. Sure, you can struggle to climb out of that hell. I am. Nobody can oppress you. The only thing that holds you back is you. Mind you,I am not normally racist, but I think this applies here. If you are gonna dress up like a retard, pants round your ankles, gangbanging tattoos, and having a gun in your waistband,am I going to hire you when you are done being a child? No. I won't I wouldn't even look at you.

It's you, your actions, and your inability to have the will to become a better person. It's up to you to make the choice to come out on top. It's not up to anyone else. If you want to be some badass(in your mind) criminal, then go ahead, but be willing to pay the dues of that choice. It is not racism when you are in jail for selling drugs, guns,or other things illegally.

/rant.
