No, that happens to me to. Just as I'm falling asleep, something will yell loudly or make an undiscernible loud noise and it will jerk me awake. But people around say they didn't hear anything.

Explosive head syndrome?

That happens to me from time to time. It's like a loud noise, like someone screaming, but i can't recognize what they say, and it's also annoying, because after that it's harder to sleep again.

Exactly!, I really don't know what they're saying either and the loud noise sometimes knocks me back (as in shock), I thought I was crazy.

That's exactly what happens to me, it's rather annoying and slightly freaky.

Same, usually happens when I haven't slept in a long time.
