So, wait, is she actually upset about all this?
User avatar #47 to #19 - bobbybeats (04/27/2012) [-]
I honestly think she could care less. It's her mom that told her and I think she's the most butt hurt.
User avatar #23 to #19 - RequieminMortis (04/27/2012) [-]
Yep. Her mom's actually trying to get Facebook to take down all the pages with the images.

Well, maybe we SHOULD stop... Just saying... People with disabilities are people too.

Yeah using it on facebook i can see being misused and an invasion of facebooks regulations and personal privacy. but i mean cmon its a meme, cheap laugh... no harm intended... But Its people like THIS in the picture, which was a comment on that video, that deserve to be hung from a tree.

you do realize that that isnt from a 9gag-er correct?
User avatar #27 to #26 - bronymaster (04/27/2012) [-]
yeah and look at all the other people that are used in memes that are derogatory twards them, they don't have disabilities should they be taking down.
User avatar #29 to #27 - elbrysobrony (04/27/2012) [-]
Well, they aren't actually upset about the memes that they inspired (Please, for the love of god, correct me if I'm wrong), so I see no reason why we should stop for them.

Take the Laundry Room Viking (Do the laundry, they said! It would be fun, they said!) for instance. He doesn't have anything wrong with his face being exploited in (questionably) funny pictures. Thus, no one takes the stuff down.
User avatar #30 to #29 - bronymaster (04/27/2012) [-]
ok ok i agree facebook did go a little to far for creating such pages it was funny "i can count to potato" but that was about it
User avatar #31 to #30 - elbrysobrony (04/27/2012) [-]
Wait, I actually don't know jack shit about all this. What's all this about what happened on facebook?
User avatar #50 to #33 - OminousDemon (04/27/2012) [-]
i feel like a douche now after watching that ._.
User avatar #35 to #33 - elbrysobrony (04/27/2012) [-]
Well, in that case, it's just a matter of insulting those with mental disabilities all together. It's not because of that girl in particular or even Down's Syndrome as a whole. Personally, not to be a moralfag or anything, I don't enjoy people using mental defects as an insult or derogatory term. (Probably because some of my friends and family are affected themselves.) Still, Facebook, 4chan, and whatever other sites that promoted this stuff probably took things a little too far.
User avatar #48 to #35 - bobbybeats (04/27/2012) [-]
9gag took it a little too far if you catch my drift.
#36 to #35 - bronymaster (04/27/2012) [-]

I tried balancing everyone out, but to be honest i think it was just a pissed of guy, not your opinions.
