you see, back in those days, the punishment for stealing a sheep, was getting your hand cut off.
but the punishment for shagging a sheep, was getting one of your fingers cut off.
people quickly picked up on this, so when the welsh were caught stealing a sheep, they simply claimed to be trying to **** it instead.
this meant that all the attempted sheep theft in whales, was wrongly registered as sheep shagging.
the disproportionate amount of sheep shagging crimes in Wales became widely known, and the stereotype stuck untill modern day.

**northway rolled image**yeah we do find them disgusting, in fact there are nearly 70% of us that have never tasted whale before, and the rest only eat it once or twice in their life. Whale meat is like some special tradition that have some special meaning that i totally don't remember because I don't really pay attention to my grandparents story. However we do hunt whale for mostly their fat, and ofc BECAUSE THEY BOMB NAGASAKI AND HIROSHIMA.
