yes, who was mentally disturbed but that's very few people out of millions ,therefore the other millions of normal, sane , law abiding citizens should be punished for an individuals actions?

they aren't punished, I could reverse the argument and say that allowing guns would mean that the whole population is at risk of getting shot, therefore the other millions of normal, sane , law abiding citizens should be punished for an individuals actions?

i dont see how that reverses the argument because sane normal people dont just sit there and think im going to go shoot up a school / movie theatre today, it doesnt make logical sense to try and implement a gun ban in a country already populated with guns as the general citizens would turn their weapons in, criminals wouldnt, therefore placing a member of the general public at a direct dissability if he/or she would enter a scenario where a gun could save their, or their families lives

true and you hear all those stories on the news because they're shocking and sad, but you dont hear about all the stories on the news where people save theirs and their families lives when someone has tried to break into their house and harm them, and this is because they aren't as interesting or as shocking as a classroom of 6 year olds getting gunned down or a movie theater, im not arguing or raging just trying to give my view of the situation, although im not a fan of obama, i do agree with his plan to give doctors the right to ask if a patient own firearms or not, that is a good plan i believe

do the people who break into their houses usually have guns?
