I actually made this up about an hour before I posted it. You pretty much start with the last line, and the story develops from there. Think of a random ass quote from any popular tv show you've ever seen, then create a story around it that is seemingly completely irrelevant. Boom, you've got yourself a greentext.

I browsed FJ back in like, 06 when it was yellow. Then I started lurking /b/ in 7th grade (07-08) and over the years started posting and lurking more. Now go through the first three pages of /b/ like most people check facebook (any free time I have) and I ended up finding funnyjunk about a year and a half-ish ago when /b/ was down one day.

Now I usually look through the frontpage maybe 50-100 posts after I've gone through the good threads on /b/
