Im sorry but OP is full of **** . I will adress each issue in the order OP brought them up.
1. You have to be 18 to own guns no matter what state and, really, the drinking age being at 21 is not that big of a deal.
2. If the U.S. is so bad at sports, as OP claims, then the rest of the world must really suck because the U.S. won the most gold medals and had the most medals total at the olympics last year and that is almost always the case.
3. The U.S. is still the top technological innovator in the entire world. The computer that OP wrote that post on, was, most likely, designed in the U.S. No other country in the world is trying to trap and land on an asteroid in 12 years. Regarding creationism, it is almost never taught in schools. The extreme few that do teach it are by no means the standard. The U.S. also issues the most patents of any country in the world.
4. Our healthcare system may have flaws, but no country in the world can match the U.S. on quality of care. Rich and powerful people from around the world come to the U.S. to be treated for whatever ails them. They do not go to other countries for their healthcare.
4.The U.S. has the world largest amount of debt but that is because it has the WORLDS LARGEST ECONOMY. The debt the U.S. has is not even 100% of it's GDP. Japan is in a worse debt situation with their debt equalling 225% of their GDP.

OP is full of horse **** to be frank and I am tired of people bashing the U.S. on this site and on the internet in general. It is the most unfound nonsense there is. Sure we have problems, but they are nothing greater than what the rest of the world has and they will all be sorted in time, as they always are.

As of 7/23/13 5:38pm CST

Debt to GDP ratio: 106.66...%

We have more debt than our GDP.

The first number 4 is laughably wrong. The average $90,000 heart surgery in the US has a lower survival rate than the exact same surgery in Argentina for $20,000.
#105 to #67 - gisuar (06/29/2013) [-]
that's because fat people who can afford this surgery still die because they are fat and the heart can't take that **** no matter what kind of suregery you try

If the risk of an operation is too high, doctors aren't allowed to perform them here. So if you have a disease that will kill you in 5 years, but the operation has a 99% chance of the patient dying, there will be no operation till the chances are better of the patient surviving it at the end.
#124 to #119 - gisuar (06/29/2013) [-]
just a joke hurdur 'murica is full of fat people

1. Thats the national law, but any state can put the legal age to where it wants to
2. Top innovators are still universities and they work together worldwide. Or do you think our large hadron collider is a national project?
3. My computer is chinese and works fine and as a small european country, we can't afford a own space program, so we joined together in the ESA and are building a space station.
4. Why are still so many rich people dumb enough to get their treatment here in switzerland, if our health system sucks?
4 (or how we call it: 5): Ok, so your country is second worst. Congratulations!
And btw, the size of country has nearly nothing to do with its percentage of debts.

Our educational system in America is still ****** . All those innovations are from the last generations of educated people. The kids being taught now are receiving horrible quality education in a lot of areas, mostly impoverished.

You're 4 (b?) Slightly contradicts your own logic system of your 2.
You're right, america has the largest economy. Just like it has one of the largest populations. It's not hard for a country to win more gold medals as a whole when you have about 100x the people competing within your own country.

It funny that norway ( not even a 5 million people nation) beats the USA (320 million people) in the winter olypics clearly.

"Seventeen percent of teachers surveyed did not cover human evolution at all in their biology class, whereas a majority of teachers (60%) spent between 1 and 5 hours of class time on it."
17% that don't teach and 60% that spend 1-5 hours on it. Obviously the education system is utter ********* .
Now if you want to blame OP for using made up facts, don't use them yourself.
