my grandfather actually stole a bike from passing by nazi soldiers.he got caught and beaten for it...

he also traded homemade beer for chocolate and stole some weapons(wich were confiscated by some drunkard) from finnish army.

my grandfathers brother in the other hand fought in the war.survived the whole thing without a single injury.got drunk, fell from atop a truck broke his neck and died

both are true stories btw

Proof german soldiers weren't animals
Had he steal from the soviet army, he would have died and been tortured

My grandfather was in the Norwegian resistance. He experienced some pretty hardcore stuff, the execution of a local police chief who conspired with the Nazis, smuggled weapon blueprints from a big ass weapon factory to Sweden (and then to Great Britain) with an ambulance, and general cool stuff like picking up weapons containers etcetera :D

My grandfather in ww2 was in the RCAF and trying to fix his plane when the propeller hit his hand.

when they had stitched his hand he got 3 medals and a distinction.

50 years later he lives across the street from a man who fought in the German air force

What are the chances of that happening to the brother, surviving the hail of bullets just to leave over a good night.
