Giving good treatment to German soldiers isn't a bad thing at all, they were people as well.. just figthing for the wrong side, i mean i wouldn't go as far as giving soup to concentration camp guards but foot soldiers that's a different thing.

My grandfather was a mayor of a small city in Belgium in WW2, when the Germans came they said he could chose: 100 Kg of potatoes or they burned his village down... Not much of a choice. Helping the enemies for food was not always an option, it was necessary to prevent yourself /your family / your town from harm.

100Kg of potatoes is not much for a village, and it's a basic need for the soldiers...
Americans did worst things in Vietnam...

Showing respect to the Wehrmacht was always good. They're just the grunts. The Nazis themselves - especially the SS - deserved steamed **** on a dirt plate.

they were forced into the war, most of them didn't like what they were doing, i'm sure some committed suicide and had horrible nightmare's about all those regrets, some thought it was for the greater good, sadly they were under Hitler's charismatic spell.

The Wehrmacht did nothing wrong during the war. You have to remember that it was the Nazis who carried out all the war crimes. The Wehrmacht were soldiers and pawns in the Nazis' game.

im afraid I'll have to tell you that you're wrong saying this. I'm German and I had the Wehrmacht and its crimes the last year in History, which is my main subject. You could say, they were forced into the situation and they turned during the war, but however.. it happened, the Wehrmacht is proven to have commited several huge crimes. If you're interested in that stuff, I recommend you to read about it.

This is just what I learned from my European History and Contemporary Literature classes. The Wehrmacht hated the Nazis and what they were doing.

What a shock, a German that's brainwashed to hate themselves.

not to hate themselves but to learn from wrongdoing in the past, its better than governement that brainwash their citizen that their country is the "all good superhero liberator bla bla bla"

It hadn't anything to do with Hitler. Whole Germany was pissed at the rest of europe over the Versailles Treaty. And kinda rightfully so. The French actually expected the Germany to pay them compensations till 1988. This caused hyperinflation in 1920 Germany, making the populace poor and desperate. Of course they threw themselves over to the first guy who had the balls to denounce and then violate the treaty. Not to mention feeding the impoverished populace and giving them sense of self-worth after the German empire was torn down.

So It's not that hard imagining the german troops going into battle in pretty good morale. They had pretty decent casus belli for each invaded land in the first two years of war.
