Legitimate to whom exactly? Everyone? But what about that one duchebag who says "BUT IT'S NOT LEGITIMATE TO ME!". The Government? It's terribly easy to set up a "legitimate" charity in the eyes of the Government(especially if A: it's a charity that only accepts YOUR money, and B: it's a charity that doesn't have to DO anything just moves money around).
Point is, your straw-man argument is bullshit, YOU can't telll someone what is and is not legitimate without laying down what legitimate actually is in this context, legitimate means what exactly? Does it have to help people? But it's helping you so that should be enough.
