Yeah, it's fucked up, and the best part about it, no one will help to stop any of this from happening again, no reforms to help save people who are going through this shit.

People will just blame "guns" and think they're safe when half the weapons shootings are done with are acquired illegally.

That's one of the first things I thought about. I can't imagine how depressing it must be as a parent to see those presents hiding at the bottom of your closet, having to take them out knowing you will never see your child again.

All of the parents ran to the school to get their children. 20 had to be told that their children did not survive. Those kids had their whole lives ahead of them and now they do not. It's just sad beyond belief.

When I think about the parents of the 18 children killed at this horrible incident in Newtown, Connecticut this morning, I can’t help but cry. Those parents rushed to the school to pick up their children and bring them home to safety, only to watch other parents find their children while they waited to be told their children wouldn’t be coming out. Those parents will have to live with the pain o
f knowing their young children went to school like any other morning but will never be coming home again. Those parents will have to go home and see their child’s bedroom, knowing they won’t be tucking them in and giving them goodnight kisses anymore. Those parents will have to unwrap and return all the Christmas gifts they bought their children, knowing they were only a few days away from seeing the joy on their children’s faces when they opened them.

My heart just feels so heavy thinking of the sorrow they will have to live with every day. I can’t even imagine how devastating this must be, and I can only hope that I will never have to know the pain of losing a child in my own life. My thoughts go out to those parents who had to experience it today.

Okay well The Principal was executed. Even if he had a gun the guy would have killed him before he could have whipped his out. The guy executed The Principal and The Counselor before he started the rampage. More guns is not the answer, you think you're going to be a hero. Hey I'm, I'm pointing out the flaws in your argument. I know Kevlar wouldn't protect from everything but what if it did? There is a lot of factors you have to put into it. Trust me I don't like arguing about this I own a gun too but 20 preschoolers died yesterday. My little brother is in preschool I had a dream last night where that happened at his school. I woke up really scared okay? I may not like kids but they don't deserve that. I just hate it when people think they're Han Solo or John Wayne and can out shoot someone who has a gun on them already. Sure, it might not have been able to save any of those kids, but there would've at least been a slightly higher chance of saving even one of them if ANY of the adults in that school carried. And that's all i'd want. Even a slightly better chance to protect those kids.

Having every teacher armed would not make me feel safe at all. Again the only person I trust with a firearm is a well trained police officer.

not to mention, a concealed carry means that you have been trained in the proper use of handling and firing a gun. As well as multiple psych tests to ensure that you are mentally capable of handling said firearm

I agree there is no saving this world. Some people care more about their guns than they do the safety of others. 20 children and 8 of their teachers and school staff were massacred yesterday. believe it or not, most of the shootings actually happen with guns that aren't registered. Its those who buy them off the streets, or find a friend or family members gun that end up doing this, and all everyone else see's is an easy dollar to be made.

Although, chances are, I might snap one day and go crazy. I have aspergers so I get the creepy thoughts (the social shyness/fear is what keeps most from doing anything bad) and my bloodline seems to have a lot of killers in it. If I do go crazy though, I promise no kids will be hurt, only those who I think deserve to die.

I am just as sad as everyone about this, just like when the horror stories of kids being bombed in their village in the middle east, or the thousands of children who will die of hunger around the world in a week.
