Depression isn't something you just pick up and wear, Depression isn't cool, it's horrifying, it's the worst but also the least you can feel. Depression isn't about being sad, it's about feeling nothing, things you liked doing become dull and pointless. I don't wish depression on anyone.

well to me the slang ( Not the actual word) pretty much anything and anyone that unintentionally annoys you or makes you cringe while sounding emotional/deep/dark/complex/sad, either for genuine reasons or just to try and be ''cool''.
when people talk about depression and mental issues/emotional issues in general I think they sound very edgy. they make me a bit upset. Can't help it.

It's just kind of having a "cool guy" attitude, mostly in teenagers. Like when you're an atheist and you say something like "they can keep their bible and their pedophilia", then you' being edgy. Or when someone draws anarchism symbols on his school books to show off how anti-establishment they are. The last one is me when I was 15

My definition still fits. It's just not as broad as yours/the urban dictionary one. I based mine around reality, where being edgy just makes you look like cringe-comp material, and doesn't really make you ''cool''. I also forgot to point out the rebellious/intelectual side, unlike you.
