Isn't it weird how we find certain things more respectable than others? "I CAN MOVE THIS BIG THING!" no it's okay we have a fork lift "FUUUUUCK YOUUUUU" this really isn't necessary jim

we value things like athletic ability because we have instincts in our brains from back when skills like "moving heavy things", running fast, and good aim were necessary for survival. women have instinctual desire to mate with men like this because back in caveman days those were the men who would ensure not only their personal survival but would procreate healthy and capable offspring who would, in turn, survive. so no, its not that weird.

We got boners from all that because it was necessary for our survival. Why haven't we adapted yet to things that are more important to our lives now?

because evolution takes millions of years, our brains are wired for the way life was lived since before apes could stand on two legs. the human lifestyle has only existed for a couple thousand years, it takes longer than that to completely reprogram instinctual tendencies.

Physical evolution takes millions of years, but
cultural
revolution takes only a little while. We've gained the rights for black people - pretty much all basic human rights, lady rights, and now
gay
marriage in only a lifetime or two, so when are we gonna reevaluate our priorities?

So rather than working out we should just be attracted to fat people? I like it how it is.

No, but we need to cut back on the macho caveman acting. That ****** annoying. Really all forms of ignorance that stems from the caveman's *reason for distrusting people who are different* At least the cavemen embraced new ideas, we're still holding on to some really old ones.

I don't see what's bad about having athletic bodies as an ideal. It's better to have athletic ideals than the anorectic models you see everywhere (because there are different kinds of athletic bodies, don't have to be ripped to be athletic.)
I see what you mean about the "macho acting", though. The "brahs" and all that ****, but those people make the others who just want to work out to feel better about themselves look bad. It's a real pain in the ass to be at the gym when they are around, chugging their protein shakes, blasting music and moaning out when lifting something, just to prove to everyone "me so stronk". They also hog all the equipment, and they give you judging stares if you can't lift as much as them.
