I've been lifting for a little while but I'm far from there yet. Any experienced lifters on FJ that can tell me which exercises would be best to prepare you for literally lifting someone (like in the greentext) ?

no problem! those two lifts alone should give you the strength and stability to carry a person. this task relies heavily on core strength and balance. intermediate level squatters can easily squat over 200lbs which i'm sure is above what the average person weighs.
