That's a way of weighing things, instead of using kilograms or whatever

Umm.
The Americans use pounds and ounces.
A cup is generally a liquid measurement, but can be used for solids as well, I guess.
Its about equal to mL

A milliliter is no where near close to a cup dude.

To this day, I still don't know what num lock does, but I'll except your response as reasonable anyway.

Num lock toggles the number pad.
On many keyboards, depending on size, theres a group of numbers and symbols, formatted to look like a calculator, on the right side. Thats the number pad.

Oh. Yea. A lot of keyboards have it toggled automatically.
I really don't know why it would even need to be disabled

Two cups in a pint, two pints in a quart, four quarts in a gallon. Do you not use this?

In America, a cup is a unit of measurement. I have no idea what the **** it amounts to, or how you can use it to measure something that isn't a liquid, but that's 'Murican measurements for ya.
