This is actually very true. If you stick a "normal" person on /b/ it will take them about 2 weeks to let go.
If you leave them there long enough they will even become bisexual and most likely highly perverted.

I've seen it happen and it has bases in the field of feral children.

Sorry man, it's a common misconception.
A percentage of bisexuals probably are just whoring for attention, but it's very unfair to judge them all based on that few.
