hellen keller is on the alabama quarter.
Sacagawea is on the US dollar coin.
Susan B Anthony was the most unpopular dollar coin ever.
Various women on commemorative coins.

The men are all former presidents- with the exception of Ben Franklin and Alex Hamilton, who are there for other obvious merits. Show me a women more fundamental to our country than these men and you have my vote.

Colbert used to be great.

Now its just
"generic liberal twat joke 1"
"generic liberal twat joke 2"

how many times does it need to be proven women do not earn less for the same job?

There used to be women on US currency. All of the coins that had it just happen to be out of production.

Admittedly, I'm rather ignorant about most of Obama's political policies, but I lost faith in anything he did the moment he started pandering to minorities. And it isn't even 'good' pandering either, like "opening mexican borders", it's the ****** pandering like "the wage gap is real and a serious problem" even though it's been disproved dozens upon dozens of times. He's a ******* president, he should know his **** , and probably does, but he doesn't care just because he wants to be more popular with his downtrodden bruthus and sistahs.

Good lords, if you're going to sell out, at least sell out to something that has merit.

While I'm all for including a wider variety of historical figures, quite frankly the faces on our money is the least important issue plaguing the monetary system at this point in time.

I don't know why but for some reason the $10 bill was wiped from my memory. I have no knowledge of it ever existing. I always see money in $1, 5, 20, 50, 100. Rarely even $2

the wage gap is minuscule and over exaggerated by people who want something to complain about and know there aren't enough people who check facts before jumping on the bandwagon. its closer to 3% than 30%

Silver and Golden dollars feature Susan B Anthony and Sacajawea respectively.

if you ask me I think michelle obama should get one in the future. I am not saying she made childhood obesity go down by a significant amount due to her food education reforms but god damn she has been the most significant FL since Nancy Reagan
User avatar #98 to #83 - lynchedjohnny (08/07/2014) [-]
She's managed to make children go hungry with her stupid program.

Not the government. I agree that obesity is a huge (lol) problem but food habits start at home.

That's because the guys on the money did important things. I mean I don't mean to sound sexist but this is going to sound sexist so buckle up boys and girls, women haven't done **** . I mean of course there are plenty of incredible women out there, but almost every women from history that's thought of in high regard is only thought of in such a manner because she did what she did in spite of being a woman. That black woman that sat in the front of the bus, if a guy did that nobody today would remember his name, but it was a woman. I'm not saying women are unable to do things, but until recently they were thought of as less than men so they didn't have the same opportunities which means they had fewer accomplishments. However, that doesn't mean the things they did helped form the country, the things the men on the money did helped form the country, they deserve to be on the coins, frankly there's no woman that deserves it more than any man that's already there.

woman have done some amazing things but they cant just take off our founding fathers because they got a stick up their ass about no woman on money. those men are our history our founders our countries legacy. we cant dismiss them because of some women are angry. i think this is utter stupidity to even suggest removing any of the men off the money. besides we have two coins with women on them. i know they arnt circulated as much but they still exist. so i swear if president ******* obama makes this change, im moving to germany. changing our money just like that is like ******** on president george washington. and anyone woman who thinks me or anons being sexist can shove it.
sincerely seriously pissed off woman history major

Its only worth 75 cents now. So that would actually increase our economy.
User avatar #54 to #44 - truesmokewolf (08/06/2014) [-]
Take an economics class and then come back, please. If you've already taken one, a refresher is needed.

The lower a country's currency is actually worth as compared to other currencies around the world, the easier it is for them to export products they manufacture, making their economy grow and keeping balance in the world. It also helps distribute the money among a larger population. Also, a US Dollar is worth exactly 1 US Dollar, no matter how you slice it. A US Dollar is worth probably 0.66 Euros, though.
