Granted, they haven't released a lot of details, but it seems like there's two possibilities in this case. One, he's insane, and then, hey, what can you do? Two, maybe it was an accident, and he just got fucking scared as shit (cause, you know, murder) and so he lied about it which came back to bite him. Either way, I really don't think we should be charging a 12 year old with murder.

That's what I was getting at. He's 12.

1. If he had a history of issues, why would his parents leave him alone?
2. What self respecting parent leaves their 8 year old in their 12 year old's care?

To me this just falls back on bad parenting.

#2 happened in my family all the time, and no one's dead.

The same with me, and me and my brother got into fist fights.

Sadly, they are probably going to blame it on video games or other some such nonsense.
