Eh I think that could end up working if you level him more, but only if you want a high level character. Mine is high level and is good at literally everything; I don't remember his stats but I remember Endurance is the highest at 67, Dex is 41, and I do 800+ on a hit with my gear setup right now
I also do 2000 or so on hit with my spells so I'm content

If you're a pyro, try heavy armor with poise + throwing fireballs everywhere, it works for me when I feel like pyro, but then again so do light builds but they require more work
