I have a fear of shipwrecks. Spooks the hell out of me, and makes me feel physically uncomfortable. And not like, sinking boats, or being shipwrecked, but the actual shipwrecked ship.

Crowded elevators bother me a lot. Which I think is strange because I'm not claustrophobic, and I'm fine if i'm on it by myself or with one or two people.

Entropy. Entropy scares me. Not because it will kill me but because it will erase anything I do.

I have a fear of touching bugs or other crawly things because for some reason I think they'll crawl under my skin or inside of my body or something

I have an inexplicable fear of tree farms. Whenever I drive past one and look at it, for some reason I expect something to look back at me. I can even kind of picture it. It's bipedal, tall, and albino. It's thin, but still muscular, and has very flat facial features, or maybe no features, but kind of twisted around in places they shouldn't be I don't really know. I just EXPECT to see this ****** staring at me every time I drive past a tree farm with nearly full grown trees.

No, I'm not talking about slender man. I don't know what I'm talking about because I usually don't bring it up in normal conversation.

A lot of my nightmares have something to do with me being in open water (usually in just a massive indoor swimming pool with no visible bottom or sides, but a visible roof above me) and not being able to see more than ten feet into the water, but knowing that there's a massive animal down there that's waiting and watching me. Weirds me the **** out, man.

The rest of my nightmares usually are something along the lines of getting hit on in a bar by a group of capybaras with big bushy eyebrows that they raise and lower at me sensually

That also weirds me the **** out

I used to be terrified of stairs. Escalators were worse. One time in a mall, I got so scared of going down one that I backed into a guy behind me and he fell over me and toppled down the escalator. The belt part broke and we ran.

less of a fear and more of an extreme discomfort with/aversion of looking directly at sharp corners of things. Someone said it might have to do with "Visual Looming" so i decided to call it "Looming Edge".

About a month ago I was in the bathroom at Walmart standing at the urinal when a young black guy came in talking loudly on his phone and continued to while taking the urinal next to me. I waited for a lull in his talking and took my opportunity. I farted loud enough to shake the stall dividers and he almost immediately said, no, I'm not in the bathroom. As he left he gave me the greatest combo angry/disgusted look I've ever seen.

Heights, massive engulfing void(IE: space or the ocean's "Drop"(divers know what I mean)) and Cockroaches/palmeto bugs. I used to have a phobia of Ants, but I worked through that.

Explanation for that last one!
When I was really young, we had left my mom's car at my grandpa's house while we visited. While we were there, for about 3 weeks, we had no need to drive anywhere(and were poor, so we were very frugal) so the car sat in one place. When we had returned, we had to clean out thousands of bugs out of the car, but we were in a hurry to leave due to...er..circumstances(dad is an ex-hitman, need I say more?).

Well, about 10 minutes down the road, apparently I started freaking out. BAD. The blanket I was snuggled in had a swarm of roaches and ants in it. I wasn't being bit or stung or anything, but apparently that traumatized me. Ants still bother me a little, but I can mostly handle them. However, when it comes to roaches...well I saw a roach about 4 months ago. I stood dead still, staring at it for about 15 minutes before someone finally came and killed it.

To those who haven't experienced a real phobia - that is, an irrational fear of something - it's not rational, at all. I'm 100% aware that I am bigger, stronger and that roach presents no immediate danger to me what so ever. I know I could probably kill it with ease and it can't do a damn thing to me. However, I still stand there, almost paralyzed, staring at it. I know it's not dangerous, I know I can handle it, but I still cannot. It's a frustrating experience, but hey - we all have our quirks.
