Use an artist model, Really helps keep proportion and perspective right. You are better than me, that's all I can say.

It's just supposed to be a picture im drawing for someone on the /bronies board. He probably doesent remember cause it was for like 1-2 months ago <3

But Adobe flash is the only thing im good at (currently trying out SAI but its so.. square-y for me, like, when i see others draw with it its nice and round but when i do its super thin and just pixels. <.<)

I'm using mangastudio ang loving it..so you might wanna check that out. And I think Flash has a correction thing so your line's smooth...its quite wobbly in your screenshot. :)

well in manga studio It's pretty useful to use the Airbrush A, and remember that wherever you shade there is almost always an opposite part hit with light, for shadows you can just add another layer of the same color. I prefer the highlights with white.

thank you... now to find that tool...

oh, and if you aren't familiar with it, it adds layers on top of eachother evertime you lift the pencil, so you have to color the areas in one stroke, or the drawing will get childish coloring marks.

you are welcome, you might want to look up some basic tutorials for the program, you might be missing out on tons of stuff that could help your art

I already did on the smith-micro website, but the one they had on color was basic, and I admit, too simply presented I couldn't make heads or tails of it... but I'm still learning. I'm new to mangastudio after trashing photoshop...
