Yeah, mainly starting with flash then going onto more famous stuff (XBLA free ware?) but this project is for getting ideas down to someday make an online NES seeing what I can do in it's limitations but first the powerful flash games seem good to start.

Lol, you're probably just not so great at coding like I am. Gamemaker's not a bad alternative if you just want to make some retro-style games.
There's a few famous games out there that were coded in it, like Tower of Heaven and Assassin Blue.
I still suck at it, but over time I learned how everything works.. I just can't remember the names of all the functions.

I'm just working on what I want in there before I animate, and, God know I might suck at animating them, they are rather complex in some areas so getting movement without fucking up how they look is going to be a bitch. I am also trying to find someone to program a side scrolling RTS, because me trying to program is like tring to get a seal to preform surgery, only less dramatic and funny
I see. Walking animations have always been my hardest subject. Don't bother with animation school, since there's a ton of Youtube tutorials out there that really help.
I like the idea. You're gonna have to practice coding a lot if you want a RTS in Flash to run smoothly, though. Several objects on the screen (the troops, for example) will cause a ton of lag if you don't take measures like only rendering what's shown in the camera view.

You know what, I'll try it. Coding will have to wait for breaks in my education (I have enough distractions with skyrim AND oblivion sitting on the shelf) and I can try to start animating them, I've just never thought of where to start.
FYI: Thank you for this, I was running out of motivation.
